Honestly just bring OU opens a ton of doors for Riley and company. With that said....

I’m always hearing about Riley and his coaches out there kicking ass, working their asses off in recruiting. We’ve been told that at top b-ball events the ou men’s b-ball staff is a no-show.

Sad... really sad.

Actually, they only hang national title banners from GIA. Of the 54, two of them are basketball.

I'm with you. We are stuck in basketball purgatory. The results won't be any different next year either. Unfortunately, the only was to "shake up" things is new blood and a new voice. To expect better moving forward is nothing more than a hope strategy.

I think your statement is legit. The hope strategy would be -1- Lon getting a rebounding tough defender in the middle and -2- this big group of returners finding a flow with Lon's offense. Although I see a real possibility for the 2nd, I really doubt the 1st. It would take both.

Exactly. I've never in my life had as little interest in OU basketball as I do right now. I would say we've plunged into mediocrity, but mediocrity would be generous to describe our last 4 years. At least with Capel, nobody was content with the post-Blake years.

That is not correct. There was a large group of posters who were Capel fans well into the down years and a few who fought to the very end.

When we lose 5 in a row and 6 out of 7 to finish the season out of the NCAAs... do you think Joe C will notice? Do you think any boosters or anyone of significance will notice? Does anyone really care about basketball at OU?

Joe C. doesn't care. Just look at the women's program. It's been going downhill for years and is currently a freaking embarrassment and nothing will change. Hope the men's program doesn't get this bad, but the only thing I can say is be prepared for mediocrity at best if no changes are made.

Especially you, who stopped watching games a few weeks ago but still somehow seems to know everything that is going on. Amazing talent. I hear about coaches who can watch a play once in real time and process everything that happens, but I have never heard of anyone who can do it without watching at all!
