If you were asked to name the leading scorer in every game this season, you would be right (but not always) if you said Christian James. The challenge would be to name the second and third scorers in each game. The answers may surprise you:

UTRGV
Muni—15
Manek—12
Reynolds—11

UTSA
James—24
Odomes—18
Manek—10

Wofford
Manek—18
James—15
Reynolds—12
Freeman—11

Florida
James—18
Muni—11
Odomes—11

Wisconsin
James—18
Calixte—10
Doolittle—9

Dayton
James—21
Reynolds—17
Muni—16

North Texas
Reynolds—17
Muni—16
Manek—10

Notre Dame
James—25
Manek—17
Calixte—12
Freeman-11

WSU
James—14
Reynolds—14
Freeman—11
Calixte—10

That 4th guy in double figures is huge if we are going by committee.

if we can get a 18-20 point game from someone

then a 14-17 and a 10-12...we should be pretty successful.

This team has a chance but it starts with hard nose def..
(I know..we all know this)

We just won't "outscore" folks...I don't think.

We have achieved your three scoring levels in nearly every game. Problem is, it’s never the same players.

I agree it would be nice if someone could average 14-17 and 10-12 points. James is doing his part with a 19 ppg average. Manek and Muni are certainly capable. They just don’t appear to have the desire or the determination to share the scoring load with CJ.

The only thing that is consistent in our scoring from one game to the next is that this team is frustratingly inconsistent. I’m just glad our defense has been really good so far. Guess we’ll have to be happy about that for now.

I was looking at stats the other day and noticed that James was the only guy averaging double figures. Those who don't pay much attention might look at that and say the Sooners are a 1 man team. Look just a little deeper and you'll see that the team has 4 guys averaging between 9.4 and 9.7 PPG. 4 guys just about half a point from also being in double figures! That's outstanding for any team. They are very balanced even though they don't look like it at 1st glance.

no doubt..lol

Yeah...guess it's a "good" we have different guys stepping up...so if one guy is struggling we have other options.

Last year if TY struggled we were screwed..

Def has been very improved.
