If you are asserting that he is not good because of that, what are you smoking? He is easily the best freshman in the league, I don't care who he plays for. His court awareness(assists), quick hands and defense(steals), physicality and athletic ability(rebounds) and overall ability to score is off the charts. He isn't the best downtown shooter(right now) but he has mad game, brings it every night, and any OU fan honest with themselves would be ELATED to have him on our squad.

It's ok to admit the Pokes have a great young player guys, saying anything otherwise is just dumb.

OSU fan - yes great night a KU, BUT my assertion is that HE IS A FRESHMAN and he is Up one night and Down the next. MAY end up being a player in the league BUT who knows, the league will eat him up if he can't find consistency. ALot of talented players have done NOTHING in the NBA, the laundry list is littered with them.

I have also seen many #1 picks in the NBA FLOP. So don't get too excited about your boy just yet. He might but he also may not.

His ability to score disappears every other game, LOL. And that being, he Doesn't bring IT every night. He's young and inexperienced and up and down. Is he a very nice TALENT, yes. Is he a great player yet, NO. We will see.

Saw this stat on an OSU blog: the number of shots that Smart missed last night (17) matched his previous season high in attempts (17 vs. KU).

I don't think I would ever say that a player had a "good" game after going 4 for 21, but when you look at the rest of his line from last night, it's hard to say that he didn't have a good game:

5/6 free throws
8 rebounds
7 assists
0 turnovers

Camp., go back and do some research and THEN come back and share. See that he is up one game then down the next ALL year. That means he is a freshman and has quite a ways to go. Nobody is saying that smart is all world but he will be 1st team all-conference and a 1st round draft pick barring an injury. I don't understand why you keep bringing him up?? He doesn't play for OU.
