Should be a good ballgame between two teams that will be in the mix to win their respective conferences ( TU - AAC ) ( Iona - MAAC ) and that have some great guards. For TU, Shaq Harrison and James Woodard combine to average 35 a game, and Iona's A.J. English puts up 23 a game. It's a game that's flying under the radar but if any of you on the board also root for TU, it might be worth watching.

Iona is a pretty good team that most have never thought much about. They play in the same league as Monmouth. Those two teams are the favorites.

For the life of me, I can't figure out Tulsa....they are all over the map. They beat Wichita, but lose to ORU and UALR (who is underrated btw) at home. Not the type of consistency that you would expect when you have 9 seniors.

Tulsa is a flip of the coin team for you never know what you'll get until it's over.

Tulsa defeats Iona 90-81. Tulsa shot a bit over 50% overall and right at 50% from 3 pt, but shot 18-34 from the free throw line (Tulsa being Tulsa).

I watched a bit of the ending. I saw Iona went on a 17-1 run in the last few minutes, but Tulsa was able to hold them. This is a better win than people think. Iona is a nice little squad.

I've never been impressed with Haith. I think Tulsa made a bad decision hiring him. He got a lot of talent at Miami and didn't do anything with it. I think his best conference record was 8-8 there. He left there right before he was going to get fired to take over Mizzou. Inherited a talented team there and won but then they continued to get worse after his first year there. He then jumped ship there to take over a talented Tulsa team. I just see them getting worse and worse under him after this year.

Tulsa is not a talented team as they are poor shooters over the course of the season whether it be from the field or the free throw line and the statistics will bear that out. It was that way when Manning coached them as well.

Agree 100%....and now he is the beneficiary of getting Manning's somewhat talented senior class. If he is around next year and doesn't jump ship again, we will see how good of a coach he is.....or further validate what you just said.
