Sooners will play Bedlam without Warren, Gallon

STILLWATER — Oklahoma is two players down today at Oklahoma State, and they’re not Steven Pledger and Andrew Fitzgerald, the two freshmen who were suspended from the Sooners’ loss to Texas Tech Tuesday after being cited for shoplifting.

Guard Willie Warren and forward Tiny Gallon did not make the trip to Stillwater, depriving the Sooners their leading scorer and their most effective inside player.

Warren has a virus that kept him from practicing Thursday. It is unknown if he practiced Friday. He missed games against Texas Tech Jan. 23 and Iowa State Jan. 27 with a sprained ankle, allowing point guard Tommy Mason-Griffin to take over the offense with a total of 64 points.

Mason-Griffin, who scored 14 points in OU’s victory over Oklahoma State Jan. 11, will have to carry the offensive load this afternoon.

Gallon is suspended for today’s game for unspecified reasons, costing the Sooners their leading rebounder and their only semi-reliable low-post scorer. He contributed 13 points and a career-high 18 rebounds to OU’s Bedlam win Jan. 11.

Coach Jeff Capel said it was possible that Pledger and Fitzgerald could return. The two freshmen were suspended indefinitly after secuity at a Norman Dillard’s department store caught them trying to conceal shirts in a plastic bag hours after OU’s victory over Texas last Satudray.

Wow, this season is not reflecting well on Capel at all. When will all this crap end?

Stop with the personal attack guys, isn't it enough OSU is beating us by 26 sheesh.

It's hard to play anyone with 7 players... hopefully Tiny can get his crap together. We just flat need bodies right now...

The personal attacks are deleted right now grace.
