I’ve yet to see a bubble team we would be favored over. These teams all are playing so much better. We just have to hope we backdoor our way in and can start over.

Teams play with a sense or urgency when their back is against the wall. Would’ve loved to see more of that attitude against TCU but alas, here we are.

I agree but I don’t think respectable losses really “help” teams. It does still count as a loss. So let’s say the Johnnies had a fractional advantage over us before their game tonight. The loss could move them down just a tick.

I don’t think so, especially against a team as good as UConn. If anything, it helps their metrics and with the eye test.

The Ohio State and Pitt games going on right now are huge, because those teams currently aren’t in the field but could steal bids if they keep winning. A&M is also key because they are thought to be either last in or first out. Would be great if at least two lose but they are all in incredibly close games. As is FAU.

Wasn’t too worried about Ohio St but their loss does eliminate a potential bid stealer. TAMU destroying UK which likely vaults them above us. The ending to this Pitt game is huge for us.

oh my that was nearly disastrous for illinois. hawkins almost fouled, too.

I know Nebraska hasn’t really been in this convo, but I’d think a loss to IU gets them in this last four byes/last four in mix

Still have a few games left tonight, but it's beginning to look more and more like we make it, but are playing in Dayton.

Bacot and RJ Davis to the rescue in the NC/Pitt game.....whew.

I think they are safe enough that I would prefer them to win so we don’t have to worry about Indiana going on a miracle run and winning the tournament.

Pitt and OSU out of the mix. FAU needs to win this game but they just got hosed by a really bad call that changed momentum. Need Marquette to keep this up over Providence.

I’ll take my chances with that. Another team moving BACKWARDS in the mix can’t hurt.

He’s moving teams too much based on conference tourneys. Committee never does that. Conference tourneys can get you in/out, but rarely move your seed far.

It’s good for his business to pretend like those games matter but most do not move the needle.

Exactly. Unless these teams are taking the auto-bids, one game here or there in conference tourneys do (and should) not move the needle

Why shouldn't they matter as much as any other game this season?

I care a lot more what happens on a neutral floor in March than I do what happened at LNC in November.
