Unbelievable. Texas Tech never learns. They have a long history of incidents like this. They are one entity that you always have to worry about the potential of something like this happening. Their people in charge have to be pretty stupid.

Rushing the court is a problem, but there is no reason for the punch. Sure there was a bump from the fan running by the players, but punching a fan? That is never acceptable.

taco tech has a bad rep for having poor sports for fans. they gotta know you can't touch those players. but even more the players gotta know you can't touch the fans. he's about to get burned and it's unfortunate.

Maybe because they rush the court at the drop of a hat.

There's no excuse for the punch, but doesn't the NCAA or the conference impose some sort of punishment for a school not 'controlling the sidelines'?

The fan bumping into the player seems minor and unintentional. If they want to punish Tech for fans rushing the court (assuming there's a rule in place that prohibits rushing the court), fair enough, but the player definitely should be punished. Nothing that happened warranted his reaction.

The Big 12 has a rule against allowing a court or field rush, it is up to Bowlsby. The SEC fines the school 500K now for those situations.

Punish tech for rushing the floor but the player needs suspended.

Don't take rushing the floor away from college basketball. It is what makes it great...or one of the things.

Just need to have more security to help opposing team off floor
