For the pressure he faced he played a great game. 3/5 10 points 5 boards and 3 assists. 6 TOs but that happens against this defense. Solid game!

Agreed. Jordan has played well in the last few games.

Not bad....he relaxed a couple of times and lost the ball, but overall, a good night for woodard. I hold my breath when any of our other guards try to break the press.

Scares me when Booker is dribbling from spot to spot.

Yeah it's a tough task to be the only one who can dribble through traffic. I feel like he has reall played well for awhile now! We see what the team is capable of when teams have to respect his drive and dish...he's really playing good ball right now. Proud if him coming out of that awful slump he was in. Annnnd he got the ball across as fast as he was able tonight! ;)

He is playing well. 6 TO's is a lot but he was getting trapped a lot. Cousins is handling the ball real we'll, too.

I thought Cousins did some good things pushing through the traps and getting to the rim.

Agree. JW had a solid effort. Do we have any guard help coming in for next year? I know we have Pritchard coming but not until 16-17 right?

I'm glad that we had him shooting free throws. Nobody else could hit.

I've been critical of Woodard this year and he has really stepped it up the past couple games. I love seeing our team play well and play smart. Good win tonight!

Cousins tactic was to just outrun whoever was trying to guard him in the backcourt.

If Jordan can continue to play at this level, we will be extremely difficult to beat. He was the player of the game to me. The only guy hitting FTs and definitely our go to guy to get the ball upcourt against the WVU press. I was also happy with Thomas helping break the press. Critical tonight.

You can live with most of the turnovers he had tonight because he was attacking to break the press and doing a good job of it. If we get this Woodard who is active and aggressive we can compete with most anybody.

He played well but Thomas abused WVU during the big first half run.

His biggest improvement is his shot selection...he was shooting out of control lay ups through traffic and taking contested jump shots during his shooting slumps. Now he's went back to making good drives through the holes in the lane and dishing it out to a shooter if it's not there for an easy lay in. He also shoots WIDE OPEN 3s when he is sitting alone and his defender is doubling. I will take that from him EVERY game! His IQ has blown up this last stretch of 6 or so games.

Yes he did. He was aggressive once he received the ball in the middle of the court and his passes after breaking the press were very impressive. He gave Spangler multiple layups this way.

Woodards focus has been better lately. He also looks much better when he is making more baskets. He had a tall order last night against WV. In a game that is as frantic as that one you can really see the difference in him and the other guards. He had a couple of lapse in intensity which turned into turnovers but with as crazy as a game as it was you can't blame him for that too much. Without him a game like that would have had a completely different flow and probably outcome.

Christian James & Rashard Odomes, both are wing players.

For the most part, but he (and Buddy) had their pockets picked from behind due to inattentiveness, and Woodard's play where he tweaked something was horrible. Just stood there with his ass out dribbling waiting to get stripped.

We did much better than the last game, but our guards still wait to get double teamed (often on the sideline) before looking to pass way too often. Outside of Woodard, it's so bad that Thomas is the 2nd guy I want handling the ball when the other team is pressing.

Yes, it would frusterate me when they would get the ball in and then wait for the pressure to close on them. I don't know if they were waiting for the rest of the Sooners to get set before they started moving. Maybe that was the plan. It seemed to work most of the time but I yelled a couple of times wanting them to just take off as soon as the got the ball.

Thomas is good because he is usually being guard by a forward when he gets the ball and he has enough control to get around those players.
