Texas: “I was pretty close with Texas before. I still talk to coach [Chris Ogden] but we gotta rebuild that relationship.”

Alabama: “Coach [Nate] Oats talked to me [Thursday] night and he said they run an NBA style and that’s true. Brandon Miller, he’s going to be a very high lottery pick and that’s what I’m trying to be.”

Oklahoma: “Coach [Porter] Moser just beat Alabama by a lot, and he’s obviously a great coach. He was at Loyola, took that team deep in the [NCAA] Tournament, so I like what he does.”

Arkansas: “I love their energy, they’re always a Top 25 team and coach [Eric] Musselman, his energy is crazy.”

Indiana: “I talk to Indiana almost every day. I’ve gotten really close with their coaches. They’re in a little slump right now but I think they’ll pick it back up.”

McNeeley is focused on the regular season — including Saturday’s matchup with Roselle Catholic, the No. 1 team in New Jersey — and then GEICO Nationals.

“I’ll take official visits after the season during the summer,” he said.

This feels winnable to me. We really need to land this dude!

Oklahoma: “I love their play style, also. They’ve been the newest school recruiting me, and I’ve gained a great relationship with them. I could definitely see myself playing in their play style.”

Visits: “I’d like to visit the schools I haven’t been to yet — Michigan, Oklahoma and USC, those schools.”

Decision timeline: “I’m not sure on the timeframe, but it will definitely be after the school season ends.”

A little Parker Friedrichson update. OU isn't involved but I found it cool that 247Sports came to OK to watch Bixby/Owasso. Plus, some people are still keeping up with PF.

Here's the part about PF's current recruitment:

Since opening up he's heard from programs like Creighton, Nebraska, Rice, Tulsa and Vanderbilt while others like Kansas and Villanova have been dipping their toes in the water. This weekend, he'll head to Wake Forest for an official visit and head coach Steve Forbes will be in Oklahoma to see him next Tuesday.

He won't do it but Tulsa is a GREAT fit.

The writeup also talks about Jalen Montonati and/or Boden Williams.

Ah, makes sense. Wake Forest is kind of a middle-of-the-road program but I'm not sure you can go to Nebraska right now. Hoiberg's not doing all too well. Same with Vandy and Stackhouse. Creighton probably isn't pressing 100%. Tulsa could really use him but most kids will bypass going the Shea Seals route (local Tulsa great stays home).
