Cezar Guerrero article on ESPN LA.com

To me that is much better than the quote that posters were laughing about the other day. I don't find it amusin when a kid is quoted in article as "even though they got spanked...". Nothin funny about that.

This one is better, thanks for sharing.

“I’m keeping my options open right now. I went on a visit to Oklahoma last week and it was crazy, all the fans were chanting my name. That stuff is cool. I’m not in a hurry to pick my college anymore, there‘s no pressure. I’m just trying to enjoy the recruiting process because it only happens once in a lifetime.’’

Several schools have offered Guerrero a scholarship, most notably the Sooners, Iowa, Oregon State and Wake Forest. Furthermore, Baylor, Kansas and UCLA are among the others expressing varied levels of interest in him.

Don't see Kansas being a factor. Selby is struggling and will likely come back. They've also signed Tharpe. Baylor has Walton, Love and Franklin transferring in. UCLA has a junior starting at the point who has been pretty good.

The other schools who have offered don't really concern me, except for Oregon State. Their coach seems like a smooth operator and he can probably start their from Day 1 and play more games closer to home. I'm betting some other high majors get involved down the stretch though.

Did we bring him in for his visit too early?

He's a hot dog with spicy mustard-I hope we get him...

That is true. I'm not sure if I want him or not. It reminds me of the Jai Lucas situation. Selfishly I wanted him because he was a highly raited recruit, but I was weary of his family and this time I'm a little nervous about a kid that is as cocky as Guerrero. I'm not sure Capel will do well with that type of personality. He and Warren didn't have the best relationship. Hard-working humble guys like Longar, Mike Neal, the Griffins, Cade Davis, etc seem to love Capel. But emotional, me-first guys like Warren, TMG, Tiny, and Ray Willis have definetly not seen eye to eye with Capel.

Hope Capel is putting in time Widgett Washington or whoever else he's targeting at point guard.
