I can see a best case senerio of a 5-2 start there. @ Baylor and @ Texas aren't really winnable IMO but the other 5 games are. If we can start 5-2. Could easily be 0-7 too.

0-4 to start the year... Yikes.

Hoping for a 1-5 start by winning in Ames.

Yea, right now all i can see is 6...

maybe this team will surprise us though...chances of that happening are slim, but if this team truely is a team that works hard i think they can find a way to win a few games they werent supposed too...

Here is the best case scenario IMO.

Wins
at Iowa State
Baylor
Texas Tech
Texas A&M
OSU
Nebraska
Colorado

7-9

But you never know. Crazier things have happened then for a team to gut out a home win against a Kansas or Texas. I don't expect either of those teams to be as good as they have been the past couple of years after losing the likes of Sherron Collins, Xavier Henry, Cole Aldrich, Avery Bradley, Damian James and Dexter Pittman.

There's just so much about this team unknown at this point.

So why automatically default to us losing these games. Let's just wait and see. The guys we have on our team may gel like we've never seen before. Wouldn't that be fun? BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

It would definitely be fun but they are just predictions from what we know right now. Love you optimism though.

Even the Colorado matchup.... take a look.

PG: Shannon Sharpe > Carl Blair
SG: Cory Higgins (all conference) > Cade Davis
SF: Alec Burks (projected lottery pick) > Cam Clark
PF: Marcus Relphorde > CJ Washington/Nick Thompson
C: Shane Harris-Tunks < Andrew Fitzgerald

This isn't even really disputable....

I'm pretty sure Shannon Sharpe has exhausted all his eligibility

So a player who sat out last year with a serious injury is automatically better than a guy who played all last year? Based on what youtube videos and reports from Colorado's practices?
Also using NBA draft.net as your standard for lotto picks is funny. Burks is 42nd on Ford's top 100, so while he is most likely better than whoever OU is going to be throwing out at the 3, saying he is a lotto guy is hyperbole at this point.

Trust me, Shannon Sharpe is gonna be a player and would easily be the #1 pg for OU this season.

5-11 is the best I can see at this point.

Ditto.

This season will be fun because of all the people on this board who have us shot down and dead before we even start the season. This is going to be great if our guys come together and win most of their games. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!:clap:OU-logo:

Honestly, I don't know how anyone could possibly think they could predict our conference record at this point in time. We've not even seen half the team play.

Last year, there were all kinds of positive predictions, and they were way off because we had a bunch of young, me-first players.

Now we seem to have some of the right type of guys on campus (knock on wood). I understand the impulse to prognosticate (actually, I don't -- I've never really gone in for it, myself), but I suggest we not jump to any conclusions about this bunch. Let's get to know them as they get to know themselves, and see what happens.

I think this bunch has a chance to positively surprise us, but that's based on hope and faith more than any concrete evidence.

Is this a trust me like Shane Harris-Tunks or in a Alec Burks way ;)?

Just joking around abd but with as many players and predictions you make it is sometimes hard to take you serious on all them. Every year we hear about various players either to make a big impact or taking a big jump in their games. Sometimes it makes it hard to take your predictions serious when you cast such a wide net. So sorry if you take offense in me being skeptical that a player who has never played a second of D-1 basketball, coming off a serious injury is going to be better than a guy with a year of experience under his belt at a pivotal spot like PG.
