than you expected. For me personally I would say better.I figured 18-19 wins and a 9-9 conference mark.I do have to admit to being frustrated a little by the loss to SFA and the wins we had in our pockets vs. osu and UT that we blew, and finally the flat performanc vs. TCU resulting in a 25 point hole we couldn't quite dig out of. Having said all that I am pleased with the overall results this yearlook forward to THE DANCE and next season as well.

I hope this doesn't come out wrong, but I'd say it turned out exactly how I thought it would.

I believe before the season started I said this team's ceiling was that of a bubble-type team. I think I predicted between 9-11 Big 12 wins, and a 4th-6th place finish. Replace the KU win with a win against TCU, and the actual game results probably played out pretty similar to what I would have predicted as well. Probably didn't have us winning in Waco either, but Baylor wasn't the team we thought they would be.

Having a down Big 12 has certainly helped us some this year, but the team we put on the court for the entire regular season, achieved about what I thought they would.

I predicted 20 regular season wins. And am very happy with the progress the program has made uder Kruger.

Worse. We lost to 3 teams that we shouldn't have lost too. We lost to TCU

About 2-4 games better, and MUCH better by the eye test. Love the progress.

Better - of course being tempered by the fact that we've had 2 bad losses down the stretch. I thought we would be on the bubble and was most likely looking at the NIT before the season started.

Overall our team easily has surpassed my expectations in their play when things have come together - beating KU and playing really tough like @ Bedlam. I think anybody who says the way this team has come together hasn't exceeded their expectations is a little bit crazy to be honest.

My post in that thread:

I kind of think, at best, we're probably a team that makes the Dance as an 8-12 seed. I just don't see us doing much better than that. And I don't say that as a disappointment, I'm actually excited about that.

My post from that thread:

Very, very hard to say. I expect KU to win the league, and I expect OU to finish between 4th and 6th. ISU, TCU, and Tech should be the bottom three teams. OSU will probably finish right next to OU, though I'm not sure if they will be one spot ahead, or behind. I'd say KSU will probably finish 6th or 7th.

I was wrong on KSU. :)

I feel like there were a couple more threads talking about this stuff. Still looking for them.

Very happy, a lock to get into the NCAAs before the conference tournament started. Everything else is just gravy.

I expected to have around 18 wins and and conference wins of 8 or 9...so we did better than I expected.

I said before the season that if OU finished above 500 in the Big 12 then Lon Kruger deverved COY. I'll stand by that statement,

I expected a tournament team and I think this team is exactly that so they met my expectations. The UT and TCU games showed that this team doesn't have leeway when it comes to how they play. If they loosen up just a tad they can get burned but when they tighten up they are a good to very good team

We beat one team that I didn't think we would beat. We also didn't beat KSU which I thought we would beat.

KSU got better this year. A LOT!
If thats your logic than KU got worse, losing to OU, OSU, and TCU? FYI, they are probably a #1 seed this year.

About where I thought we would be. I thought would finish higher than 1 team above us but 4 or 5 is about right.

Slightly better than I expected and that's even with a few disappointing losses. I predicted NIT and we have a very good chance for NCAA. I am not willing to say lock because of what could happen in conference tourneys. However, I agree that if they picked today we would be in.

You lost all credibility in the first linked thread with your comparison of Pledger and Heskett and then lumping in Pledger and Heskett in with Selvy/Ere/Detrick.

:facepalm

You are right.

Pledger was much better than Detrick ever was. And was probably more efficient than Ere on offense.

And if you had read what I wrote, I wasn't really comparing the players to each other, but rather their roles on their teams, to each other.

:clap

You nailed that one, Booger. I gotta admit though, I'm still puzzled over your initial response to the thread about Ford yelling when an opposing player was shooting a free throw.
