GAME 26 - OKLAHOMA (16-9) @ #2 Florida (22-3) 6:00pm CST on ESPN2 (this should go well )

I only said Brock and/or Hump because I'm not sure Armon and/or Clayton would want to do it being Moser loyalists.

I'd go with Hump or Gates. Either one. Doesn't matter really. That said, Brock was a juco HC at one time IIRC.

That's if Joe C even pulls the string before the season ends and at this point, he rarely makes good decisions...so yeah, doubt it.
Anything else from trilly? I’d be shocked if Joe C makes any move in season.

Yes.. a list of 8 you've come up with. What are there, 400 d-1 jobs? Lol

i liked him about 10 years ago.

He has been pretty meh
Has had a better 4 years than Moser at A&M.

Finished behind him in 2022. But has been better than OU every year and will make 3 out of the last 3 tournaments.

I am pretty sure we would be very happy with that right now.

i'm sure he's had pretty good nil and fan support at a&m.
put him at ou with neither....and my prediction is he would suck as bad or worse than moser.

I would point to his success at Va Tech and Marquette as counter-points pre-NIL era.

Moser had Krutwig for 2 years, this is not as close of a comparison.

I agree that we have a much better chance of hiring a good coach than some suggest. People are acting like the only good coaches are already at power conference schools and we couldn’t compete with their current employers to get them to Norman, and that’s just not true. We still pay far more than non-power conference schools, offer more resources, and, Moser notwithstanding, a much better opportunity to sign good players and make the tournament. There are dozens of guys who would jump at the chance to be our coach. The key is finding the right one, and whether Joe can do that is anyone’s guess.
I agree. While I hear there are a lot of coaches that would be wary of taking it, there are a lot of good coaches out there (some we have never heard of) and many would relish the opportunity. We need to follow the pattern of what K State did/does in football; develop good role players through good coaching, find a couple of guys who are good basketball players (like Dayton), and find a couple of guys who are great athletes and develop them into threats who can drive and feed (like Cousins, Q White, etc). That recipe can lead to some recruits who like what they see and want to play for that coach. I know we would all be patient if we saw that progress instead of what we have seen since Kruger left.
