Hell, no. There are only two major things wrong with Rick Barnes:

Big #1: He coaches for the Longhorns
#2: He tends to choke the big games

If Barnes could recruit to OU like he does at UT, I would take him.

But, all that said, I would still rather have Buzz.

Kelvin leveraged interest in the UT job for a raise at OU, so they apparently were interested in an OU bb coach before. Besides, if UT comes calling for Buzz after he's been at OU for a while it means Buzz has done an amazing job here, so I'd take that.

I heard him say this today on Mark Rogers show too. It sounded more like a guess to me than a statement that he knew this for sure. I'm not concerned about it.

I was going to post the exact same thing. Kelvin's popularity took a big hit when he did this as some OU fans/alums never got over it.

I wouldn't worry too much about what Gottlieb said about Buzz's dream job. Don't forget that everyone thought the University of Florida was Bob Stoops' dream job when he came to Norman. Twelve years later, he's still coaching at OU.
