Lol @ Big 12 football in Week 1

The Big XII is having a great year. The conference has wins against TCU, FSU, Miami, Arizona, UCLA, BYU, Iowa and others. I think A&N will beat Arkansas. Missouri lost ASU but that was an OT game. If anyone goes undefeated they will play in the bCS Championship game

Yep, I was wrong on that one. After week 1 it looked pretty bad, but the Big 12 is pretty damn good in football. OU and OSU are big time, Baylor is probably better than they have ever been, Tech is undefeated, Texas will get better, MU is solid/average, etc.

And, how about those KSU Wildcats? 3-0 and got a big win at Miami. Not that Miami is good, but you still expected them to lose.

That QB of theirs (Collin Klein) is showing flashes of being that dual-threat QB that Coach Snyder always has. The guy is running for 126 yards per game and throwing for 112 yards per game. He has 7 touchdowns and 1 turnover in 3 games.

Still needs to get better at passing the ball, but they might turn out to be decent/average after it looked real bad in the opener, only beating a 1-AA school by 3.

I agree about K-State; they've made a big improvement since Week 1.

The only true disappointment thus far has been Kansas. Other than that, most of the inferior teams in the league have played pretty well/showed signs of being a solid team.

I hope A&M beats Arkansas.

No way. Woo Pig Souey!

A&M needs to completely face plant and the remaining Big XII schools need a coordinated Aggy bashing program. A&M is for misfits. The Big XII is where Texas athletes need to play.

I want A&M to beat Arkansas because I want them back in the top ten when we shellack them in Norman.

Yes and the Big XII vs SEC match up is important for computer polls. You always want your conference to win non-conference games. You also want the teams your conference beat to do well in their respective conferences.

I'm hoping for Arkansas to win by 4 TDs and the SEC schools to begin making fun of A&M as the dorks they are.

It will happen sooner rather than later. A&M thinks they will get respect in the SEC but they will be made fun of for the next 100 years just like the last 100 years.

If OU is good enough to play in the title game we will be there. Not worried any any computers.

Let's wait until the season is over before we proclaim the Big 12 to be better. The Big 12 is playing VERY well right now, indeed, but so has the SEC. And the SEC is 9 games into their conference schedule, vs 2 for the Big 12. So that is 7 more losses their conference HAS to have at this point, over the Big 12. I think this is one of the years where the two conferences might have a similar conference rating (power rating) at the end of the year. I'd guess the SEC will still finish on top, but it'll be closer this year than in most year. Probably.

Based on prior trends, OU certainly would be fine by the computers. Still, I'd rather not take any chances. I would love for A&M to get humiliated, but the better they are the more it helps OU's standing (should OU beat A&M).

As for the Big 12 being the superior conference, they certainly have an argument at this point since they currently do have the best non-conference resume.

With that being said, I wouldn't be shocked if the SEC surpassed the Big 12 prior to bowl games. With an additional league game, the Big 12's inferior teams will have to play another conference game, rather than schedule an easy opponent. Example: a Kansas now has to play an additional conference game (9 now instead of 8) rather than scheduling an East Popcorn State.
