OSU is turrible

Terrible? No
Average? Yes
Good? Don't know
Contender (nationally)? No

I view being good as making the tourney. I'm not sure OSU is at that level yet. So I guess I disagree with boca...OSU is not a terrible team like OU is.

I think we're close enough that we can agree on OSU. I'll reserve judgement on OU.

We are fixin to increase our conference losing streak to 10 games and we will probably only win 2 conference games (TT & @TT) if we are lucky.

We need to get our house in order before we go bashing any other teams.

From what I saw today, Ford totally our coached Martin.

If Selection Sunday were tomorrow, OSU would make the Tournament.

Obviously a lot of basketball to go yet, but OSU's strength is its frontcourt and overall team defense.

I like our chance of making the Tournament this year.

We'll see how it all plays out.

Agreed on all that.

Predict the remaining games...

Games I feel OSU should win because of matchups and/or home/away status:

vs. Iowa State
@ Tech
vs. OU
vs. A&M
vs. Tech
vs. Baylor
@ OU

Toss-up type games:

@ Colorado
vs. Missouri
@ Nebraska

(I would love to think that we should win at CU and Nebraska, but we just never seem to play well in either place; and Mizzou remains a horrible matchup for us. Note - I would have had the KSU game at home in this "toss-up" category before yesterday.)

Probable losses/bad matchups:

@ A&M
@ Baylor
@ KU
vs. Texas
@ Texas

Given all of this, I think the best case scenario for OSU is probably 11-5.

I still think the most likely final record is 9-7.

10-5 at best

7-8 at worst

I'm guessing you weren't a math major. ;)

Great win for you guys yesterday. I think OSU could go 10-6, but won't do worse than 8-8. Of course, I'm trying to remember the last time you guys had a better conference record than OU in consecutive years (probably '94 & '95). I just can't believe how far we've fallen.

Only blatant home cooking vs Iowa State keeps the hicks from being 1-6 and dead last place in the Big 12 with a veteran lineup.

Worst coach in the Big 12 hands down = dagwood ford.

People can rag on our talent at guard. But OSU's best guard right now is Keiton Page. Keiton plays hard, is a good kid, but if he's your best guard in a Big 12 school you have issues. Even worse issues than we have at the guard positions.

Pledger = Page. Cade vs. Olukemi is pretty even. Penn vs. Blair about a draw. Clark vs. Brown about a draw.

Penn has basically been benched. And Olukemi fouls way too much

Wow. The two small school kids from Oklahoma (Keaton Page and Rotnei Clark) had huge days today. Page had 26 and Clark had 34 in their win at Vandy. Thats 60 pts for the two junior guards.

Good players.

I think Ford really mismanages his big guys. I really like what I saw with Perry Shaw. He'd be an every day player in my book. The bigs are decent, it's just the guards.

He miss manages everyone. He's done it since he has taken over the program. moses at the 5, page at the 2, Muonelo at the 4, Franklin at the 4.

They are only averaging 8.4 apg in the big 12. Its a selfish team, and thats why they are struggling. the last second of their game was a prime example of why they are losing. Page does a great job of getting to the lane and collapsing the defense...but instead of doing what a pg should do which is dish it out to any one of the open guys, he shoots a contested shot...and they lose.

Moses draws double teams left and right but he always has to make that dribble...similar to Fitz...and he's been turning the ball over more.

Ford has underachieved since taking over. I thought in his first year that they were going to be solid. Eaton was a senior along with Harris. They had 2 solid guards in Obi and Anderson. But they had post players with Moses, Adams, Brown, Kirkland and Thomas. They also had a freshman sharpshooter in Page. He starts off by getting rid of Adams and Thomas and turning his complete team into Guard team. I'll call it right now. Even though he will have Johnson, Williams, Cobbins, and Shaw...You will be seeing Nash and Franklin playing a lot at the 4 spot. Its just not going to cut it with Guys like Marcus Morris, Tristan Thompson, and Acy playing the 4 in the big 12.

OSU's guards are just terrible. They don't have a real point guard like even Blair is at OU. And I don't think much of Blair other than he's just okay but he's better than anyone OSU has at point guard. All OSU really has is a 5-8 2 guard that can really hit shots. And Olekeimi who can be a Cam Clark type guy but the problem with him is that he disappears like Cam Clark can. They really don't have anyone else that can do much at guard at all. And Penn being horrible this year has killed them at the point.

They have more talent deficiencies than even we have in Stillwater.

Who finished winless on the road in the big XII this season? Not OU.
