Excited that I don't have to dirty stream this game. Don't know much about ECU.

Re: OU at ECU

Me either. How did we enter a tourney without another power 5 team?

This is going to be a good test. East Carolina is not a bad team. I expect us to win, but 13 is a big line. This is not an awful bottom tier team. Probably close to a Tulsa or like the Oakland team that beat OSU.

Probably close for 35 minutes, and we hold them off in the last 5 minutes. If we smoke them, it’s a really good sign.

I'll be interested in how good OU's perimeter defense will be against the best competition they have played this year. With Harkless, Gibson and Goldwire can the Sooners make opponents offense start further away from the basket and make them rush shots at the end of the shot clock. With the O/U and the spread, Vegas thinks the game will be somewhere in the 47-61 range. Holding ECU near 60 would be a great sign as they have scored 95, 83 and 70 against lesser competition. All three games a guard has been their leading scorer. Can't wait!

It probably doesn't mean much at this point in the season, but Sagarin has OU at #34 and ECU at #198.

Its ok to go win some games. 9 new faces. Respectable opponents. Schedule will be hard enough come Big 12 play.

It'll happen sooner than that. UCF is 88th in the Sagarin ratings, Florida is one spot behind us at 35, Butler is 87, and Arkansas is 29th.

I've had the early game (Davidson/ NM State) on in the background. If we end up matching up with NM State, we will need to defend the 3.....which we have done pretty well with thus far this year. Davidson looks pretty un-athletic.

I looked at Kenpom (which is way too early to conclude anything about any team....his ratings really start to come into focus after the new year)....and OU is 47 while ECU is 164.

I've been watching these games today. ESPN picked Utah State as the favorite in this tournament, but OU is the best team I've seen, and it's not close.

Some good, some bad, and some ugly so far. Pretty sloppy start.

Excellent growing game for us. Just win.

ECU is swarming all over the floor and we aren’t dealing with it very well at the moment. Have to stay organized and punish them for overplaying.

Great play by big Rick followed by a stupid play by big Rick. We still look pretty rusty and we haven’t gelled as a team. The signs are there though. We can flat out shoot the rock when we get the chance.

I had some hope that Chagrois could help us as a back-up 5, but three games in, and he looks lost on defense. For a 5th year senior, that's concerning.
