The losing streak

With A&M and Kansas up next, it's going to get worse before it gets any better. I think we'll lose those games and lose at Tech before finishing the season with a Bedlam win in Norman. A first round exit from the conference tournament will give us yet another 13-18 record.

13-18 is better than what I thought we would have at the beginning of the season :woot

We may not win another game(maybe OSU)what were you expecting??It is what it is,let Capel have another year & see what happens!!!Go Sooners!!!

Give me 3 VALID reasons why Jeff has earned the right to come back for another season.

Give Capel another year to have a losing record. He isn't winning, therefore he should be fired at the end of the year.

I've been very critical of Capel and even during todays game I was critical because we are so undisciplined.

However, I've bought into the fact Osby will help us tremendously and to the fact Goff will be a force inside. Due to the 4 wins we have, which was 3 more than I predicted, then I'm willing to give him one more year.

However, if he is fired after this season, I won't lose any sleep about it and I will pray Joe will find hire 1 of the 3 candidates in this order:

1.) Gregg Marshall
2.) Doc Sadler
3.) Terry Evans

Ok. On a scale of 0-100% how confident are you in Jeff getting the Sooners back into the Dance next season?

25%

But, he represents the school with class and he's a nice guy. He deserves every chance to fail/succeed in my book.

25%! I can get better odds playing craps. IMO, 25% is not good enough to bring Jeff back for another season.

Give me 3 VALID reasons why Jeff has earned the right to come back for another season.

1) Major contract buyout
2) NCAA investigation pending decision
3) Joe can't handle the truth

This is the fourth time in his tenure here that Jeff Capel has had a losing streak of five or more games.

Before he arrived, our last five-game losing streak was in 1991 when we lost six in a row during one conference stretch.

That is unbelievable.

!!!

My biggest beef with Capel is that wears out his players. I really believe the number one reason why we have such poor finishes down the stretch in Big 12 play nearly every year is because he refuses to use his bench for the first 20 games of the season and the starters are just worn down by this point in the season.

Jeff Capel is all about rewriting the record book at Oklahoma. He guided us to our first losing season since 1981 last year. With yet another losing season this year, we'll suffer our first back to back losing seasons since the late 60s. He's a joke of a coach. What's most astonishing to me, however, is that a lot of fans on this board think he deserves another year. What makes them think that he's going to right the ship next year? Yeah, we're adding one good post player in Romero Osby and one project in Robert Goff. Are we going to have a 25 win season just because we added those two guys?

Joe Castiglione is widely regarded as one of the best ADs in the business. He always seems to make the right decisions whether its selecting a coach, raising money, or building new facilities. Unfortunately, he got it wrong when he picked Jeff Capel. It's responsibility to fix it. After our season ends, he needs to tell Capel to pack his **** and get the **** out of town.

If I sound angry and belligerent, it's because I am. I am 25 years old, so during the first years that I started closely following sports, OU football sucked. Kelvin Sampson's basketball teams were the best thing going on this campus from 1994-1999. I didn't care about our football woes because basketball was right around the corner. For that reason, OU basketball has a very special significance for me. Jeff Capel has destroyed all that.
