They also have games with Oklahoma State, BYU, and Colorado.

Tulsa will make a trip to Tobacco Road for a February basketball game.

The Golden Hurricane will visit Duke on Feb. 25 in a nationally televised contest on an ESPN network.

"It'll be a great experience for our players," TU coach Doug Wojcik said. "They're going to have life-long memories from this game.

"From a basketball standpoint, it's a late February game ... what this does is also get into the (NCAA Tournament) selection committee's mind that Tulsa isn't afraid to play anybody. It'll help from an RPI standpoint, perception from the media, an environmental standpoint and a playing standpoint that could help propel us into the postseason."

The schools had been working on this matchup for weeks, but it didn't become official until the one-game contract was signed earlier this week.

Duke arguably has the nation's best homecourt advantage. Fueled by the "Cameron Crazies," the Blue Devils have the nation's longest non-conference homecourt win streak with 68 consecutive victories. The team's last home loss to a non-ACC opponent came on Feb. 26, 2000, when St. John's earned an 83-82 win.

TU will make its first visit to Duke. The teams have played twice before, with the Blue Devils winning in the 1996 Preseason NIT semifinals (72-67) and in the second round of the 1999 NCAA Tournament (97-56).

TU is coming off a 25-11 season and second-place finish in Conference USA. The Hurricane has been ranked 21st nationally in a preseason poll by ESPN's Andy Katz.

Duke was 30-7 last year and advanced to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16. The Blue Devils are ranked No. 10 in Katz's early preseason poll.

There are other storylines. Wojcik is a former North Carolina assistant, and defeated Duke during his first season coaching under Matt Doherty. Wojcik, as a player at Navy, lost to Duke in a 1986 Elite Eight game. Tulsa athletic director Bubba Cunningham also worked with Duke counterpart Kevin White while both were at Notre Dame.

Tulsa will release the remainder of its nonconference schedule at a later date.

Among those already penned for TU are home contests against Oklahoma State and Colorado, a road game at Missouri State, a pre-Christmas tournament in Las Vegas with BYU, Nevada and Nebraska, and a January contest against Oral Roberts.
