Both of those teams seems to have put together respectable schedules that should challenge them.

Oh yea, Tech and Kansas sure loaded up this year. Tech is playing 2-3 Pac-10 teams, a tough game at New Mexico, and then games at TCU and Wichita State are respectable as well.

Kansas loaded up big time.

Have the in season tournments been annouced? NIT, EA Sports, Maui etc

Big 12/Pac 10 challenge opponents?

On edit:
Found this from an Andy Katz article

Coaches vs. Cancer: Four teams move on to New York
Four campus hosts in the 16-team event: Syracuse, North Carolina, Cal, Ohio State

NIT Season Tip-Off: Four teams move on to New York
Four campus hosts in the 16-team event: Duke, Connecticut, LSU, Arizona State

Maui Invitational: Gonzaga, Colorado, Cincinnati, Maryland, Wisconsin, Chaminade, Arizona, Vanderbilt

Paradise Jam, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands: Purdue, Tennessee, DePaul, Boston College, Northern Iowa, East Carolina, South Dakota State, Saint Joseph's

Old Spice Classic at Disney, Lake Buena Vista, Fla.: Baylor, Alabama, Florida State, Creighton, Iona, Marquette, Xavier, Michigan

76 Classic at Disneyland, Anaheim, Calif.: Texas A&M, West Virginia, Butler, UCLA, Portland, Long Beach State, Minnesota, Clemson

Seems like the Big 12 won't do much in these tourneys

third annual Big 12- PAC 10 Hardwood challenge

The match ups are as follows:

Nebraska at USC -- November 29
The Trojans have more talent, but don’t count out crafty Doc Sadler and his team of overachievers.

Washington at Texas Tech – December 3
Pat Knight’s Raiders can make hay with a win.
Baylor at Arizona State
A chance for a young Bears team to test itself.

Colorado at Oregon State -- December 4
The Buffs Princeton Offense will take on a former Princeton assistant.

Oregon at Missouri – December 5
The fastest 40 minutes of basketball will have the Ducks quacking “no mas.”
Iowa State at California
Craig Brackins goes home and get on the national stage.
Washington State at Kansas State
Must win for the Wildcats and their depth will prove too much.

Kansas at UCLA -- December 6
Two blue bloods. The preseason #1 ranked team in the country gets a chance to send a message.
Arizona at Oklahoma
The Sooners without Griffin will still be a load. Willie Warren will show why he is one of the best guards in the country.

Oklahoma State at Stanford – December 16
Plenty of new faces for the Cowboys, but more depth and the speed will continue.

Texas A & M at Washington -- December 22
The Aggies built their resume with wins over Stanford, Alabama and LSU last year. Look for them to do it again at the Huskies expense.

Texas is playing North Carolina in Jerry World sometime around mid-December. Remember reading that was a done deal about a month ago. Should be an interesting matchup, as well as how many people show up to watch the game there.

A&M can do well in that tourney.

Sure its a tourney they can win, but who knows what that team is gonna look like.

I guess I was expecting better tourneys for the better schools in the Big 12, but I guess its hard to top OU winning the NIT.

I guess I expected KU or Texas in the Coaches/Cancer or Maui or NIT

anybody know why Texas and an opponent isn't on the Pac 10 list?

I am going to assume the Texas is a typo because I have seen them listed as playing USC (easy win for the whorns).

Good stuff adb.

Does college basketball get any better than that mid-december NU-Creighton battle? good stuff.

I hope Doc can coach his team to victory in that one, but I have my doubts.

K-State has a bit beefier schedule this year.

I'm glad because they have chance to be a really good team, and a strong non-conference schedule can help both with seeding, and in getting ready for the conference season and beyond.
