GAME 28 - OKLAHOMA (17-10) vs #17 KENTUCKY (18-9) 8:00pm CST on SECNETWORK

Well I respect that then. But trash talking at all mid-game when your team is a loser is cringe af
To be clear, I don’t care for the level of jaw jacking the game has reached, but the problem at the end SOLELY stemmed from Garrison who was far more mouthy than anyone else all night

Hey guys, you’ll never believe this, but we had a crucial home game and a loud, engaged crowd, and, after begging the fans to support the team, Loser lost.

We outshot them from the field overall and from three. We outrebounded them. They were essentially missing one of their best players for the entire game. We had far more on the line. All of that … and we lost because our dip**** coach let one player repeatedly beat us off the bounce without ever selling out to make sure the ball wasn’t in his hands.
Annnnddddd. He "coached" said player for TWO years and STILL has no earthly idea how to cover him

LOLOL

Sad but true. Had a timeout to set it up and did absolutely nothing except defending him with a smaller and weaker player. Good chance he did pull out the Majerus Rolodex to give him an inspirational quote though.

I was ready to give it a rest until this rolled across my notifications (I couldn't see the score on the notification bar):

"Oklahoma covers (+3.0)"

If you would have showed me that prior to the game (or after had I not watched), I would have thought for sure we won. That is some definite salt in the wound to end the evening. lol

Good game. Kids gave great effort overall. In the end it was missed free throws and a few unforced turnovers that cost us the game

It would have been fun to see our 3 million dollar roster beat their 9-12 million dollar team.

Oweh put on a second half show. Always liked that kid
3 million for this garbage team? Woof. Does fears get all of that?

I will say, there seemed to be more contact on Fears than there was on the Oweh dunk earlier that they called an and 1 on. Regardless, we had many chances to NOT let that be a one possession, score to win game.

Unfortunately, those stupid turnovers, missed wide open shots, lazy defense, etc. throughout the course of a game ultimately cost us. Definitely not the last play no call.
This is it exactly. For once in a long time, I'm going to defend Moser. I think he had the right guys on the floor at the right time for most of the night. We had a couple of really good inbounds plays as well. This game is totally on the players. As a whole, these players just aren't smart, don't have an understanding of what they need to do, and lose "feel" for the game far too often. And it ultimately will cost the program yet another NCAA appearance.

Kentucky’s roster is way more talented ($$$) than ours. That’s usually what wins out in those situations, and it did tonight.

That’s a legit excuse sometimes, but you have to overcome that once in a while, and Moser never has been able to.

Pleasantly surprised by Kentucky fans on twitter. Kind of calling him out for his antics.
Made a good comparison to Demarcus cousins

Moser is responsible for recruiting these players and coaching them to a spot where they play with effort and intelligence. Even if it is solely on the players, it speaks poorly of Moser in other areas as a coach aside from the in game management

I don’t have many complaints about the offense but the lack of defensive adjustments was staggering. You can’t let one guy beat you when he is red hot, especially when you pretty much know he is only looking to drive.

Yes but two of their main guys were out or limited.

Well, this was a typical Porter moser game. The team actually played really well but couldn’t finish in the end. Another loss. Moser is done. It’s over.

team didn't play really well. how many free throws missed? especially on the front end.
how many turnovers? how many missed 3's in the first half?

I get it, but again, UK's roster and NIL had sh!t to do with our best player missing two front ends of "one and ones". If he hits just two of the four FTs, we probably win.

Watching your freshman PG with not great athleticism heading towards a gang bang at the rim with 4 seconds left and not calling a timeout. **** porter moser fire him tonight

That’s ridiculous. Moser coached a good game tonight. It wasn’t perfect but it never is. If Fears makes his free throws with 2 minutes left we probably win. If the refs didn’t absolutely raw dog us in 2nd half we probably win. Moser has lost us other games but I’m not putting this on him tonight against a team whose roster is paid at least 5 times what ours is.
