GAME 28 - OKLAHOMA (17-10) vs #17 KENTUCKY (18-9) 8:00pm CST on SECNETWORK

One of my biggest pet peeves is the jacked three when you’re down one point in the closing seconds.
That's the best case scenario imo if pm had taken a timeout. I mean, I can't rule out a 5 count, a backcourt violation, we don't even shoot a shot.. give me the fears attempt (I just wished he pulled up earlier but 20/20)

Makes me madder what oweh did than even losing this game. He and garrison will never play like that again
I mean, Oweh is a borderline first team all conference player. He’s had a great season. And our defense isn’t exactly good, so is is that shocking?

I loved the play Pope set up to get Oweh a layup. Of course it depended on one of our guys having a total brain cramp, but that’s a pretty safe bet these days.

Two almost unbelievable numbers: 3-5 (our home record). 18 … as in, we let one dude score their final 18 points, even though we know that player as well as you could possibly know him.
Definition of insanity. And yet credit pope for continuing to force it (if he even had to) and keep taking it.

if it were flipped, Porter Einstein would have went away from it to surprise the other team. Maybe an iso to godwin. No one would expect it

He would have benched Oweh to get Elvis some minutes.

Also, the Taylor three attempt with a minute left and plenty of time left on the shot clock … yes, I know he had just hit one. I also know he shoots 26 percent and hadn’t hit a three in his last six games. Another example of a team making losing plays and decisions down the stretch. The last minute of a one-point game isn’t the time to launch what is essentially a heat check for a bad shooter.

Fears missing the front end... again as well

I'd love to see a little objectivity here. I'm no Coach Moser apologist and extremely disappointed in the results since the Michigan game. That said, the team obviously played hard and good enough to win. Yes, some late defensive switches to slow down Oweh would have been nice, but I'm not blaming Moser for this loss any more than I am giving him credit for beating Miss St. As we all know, this could have gone either way...really wish Taylor didn't push the envelope by taking that second NBA 3-point shot. I won't lose a moment's sleep if they come up with the $8 million to buy out Moser. However, if they decide to keep him, it will be because of the past two games as it is evident the team has not quit on him.

Let's keep in mind that Kentucky knew that either Fears or Moore was going to take the winning shot. For those wondering why OU did not call a timeout, I bet 50% of coaches would have made the same decision and all for the same reason - to not allow the defense to set up. Anyway, props to the players for giving it their best and props to the fans who showed up for being a factor...just wished for a better ending :-(.

Three games left. Let’s see if they truly will keep busting their butts. Doing it two games in a row at home isn’t really saying much. Plenty of teams do it 31 times a year.

Irony is Moser screwed him out of PR his freshman year and took him out of the starting lineup his sophomore year.

When Moser is gone, will you let us praise our team’s effort when they come up short?

It’s just ****ing insufferable.

I want Moser gone but I could almost get behind him staying, to save money, if OU hires the basketball version of Jim Nagy (new football GM).
Regardless of whether he stays or not, I think a lot of sports in college are going to move to a front office like model eventually. I don't believe the NCAA will be able to stand on it's own if football breaks away and likely ends up having the rest of the sports follow suit.

Depends if we “come up short” in 65 percent of our conference games over a four-year span.
I’m with you champ, Moser should be fired. Not sure that will solve all of our program’s problems but it’s obviously not working.

Since we’re on the same page there, no need to move the ****ing goalposts. What does that have to do with shitting on our players for trying lol?

Started off 13-0
4-11 since at an impressive 26.6% winning clip..
Very real shot of ending 17-15 after starting 13-0.

If pm can pull it off and lose out, he'll sadly still be ABOVE his current (as of today) all-time career win % of 54.9% with an embarrassing 55.9% win % at ou (also this season would be his 3rd worst out of 4 at ou with a 53.1% win percentage).

How sad is that. Even after torpedoing ou, it'd still be technically over achieving compared to his entire coaching career up to today's date. Geez

When someone shows you who they are, believe them. Everyone, may I present: Mr. 55%er
