Julius Randle Chooses...

This is a win for OU since he didn't go to Texas or KU. :clap

Agreed.

I hate to be too critical of his choice, but that just doesn't seem like the right place, THIS YEAR, to choose UK if you are a one and done type. They have so much talent on that roster next year, even good players are going to be starved for minutes. I really thought he'd go to KU.

They got enough room for all these guys ? Aren't they the favorite to get Wiggins also ?

2013 Class (Rivals Rankings) -

Julius Randle #2
Aaron Harrison #4
Andrew Harrison #5
James Young #10
Dakari Johnson #13
Marcus Lee #18
Derek Willis #129

Nearly the entire front page of the Phog bball board is locked....beautiful.

After Cal's postgame comments, I wouldn't be surprised if some members of this years team are "asked" to go to the NBA or elsewhere. In fact, Greg Anthony intimated as much during the postgame show last night on TRU tv.

Everyone on the team minus Noel said they are coming back. Now I know that may change.

I wonder if Gordon heads to WA now that Randle has decided?

Remember when some people thought we had a chance at landing him, even up until recently?

Oh well, at least it's not KU or ut.

Sometimes, the pay is just too good.

So did Tiny, and Bosworth said the same thing immediately after the 1986 football season. Switzer told him he had no choice.

According to Greg Anthony, and he probably doesn't know anything inside of UK basketball, but he said the players saying they are coming back after that loss last night doesn't mean much. Especially if they are projected to be lottery picks. All they need to do is look at Noel's injury as a reason to go to the NBA and take the money.

I don't get how you guys can be so excited that Randle is going to Kentucky over 2 Big 12 schools.

The best kids out of Texas are leaving to go to a different conference. Harrison Twins, Randle to Kentucky, Jones to Duke, Mickey to LSU, Frazier most likely going to either aTm or SMU.

Randle going to Texas or Kansas doesn't make our team any worse or better...it just makes what Kentucky is doing even harder to stop.

Ok, we don't play Kentucky twice a year. Not sure why you would want to see these top players come in to Texas or Kansas and beat our A$$

I am thrilled he isn't going to Kansas or Texas.

Maybe we should try to get a top player or 2 once in awhile instead of being intimidated when another top player comes to big 12 school

Me, too. What I don't get is why any OU fan doesn't understand that going to Kentucky is better for the Sooners than facing him twice a year in the Big 12?

Go figure! :facepalm

We do try. We were in his final 5. Doesn't change the fact that if they aren't coming to OU i don't want them on a conference rival. You seem to enjoy watching OU get beat though. Makes sense why you want him at Kansas or Texas

I guess I'm not afraid of having good teams in our conference
It's possible not to fear good teams in the Big 12 while also not actively cheering for them to be even better.

Why are you so afraid of Kentucky?

As an OU fan, why should I care about how dominant Kentucky is?
