Did we turn down a postseason bid (not just NIT but any tourney) last year just to get rid of our former coach sooner? I don't remember.

OU didn't get an invite to the NIT. Not that it mattered, I think everyone including the players and coaches were ready for the season to be over.

I'd like to think so, but if we wanted out of basketball so bad, we probably would have let Baylor win so they could get their star back on the court for the rest of the Big 12 tourney instead of lucking into victory

I'm not ready to give up on us making the Dance just yet. I realize it is probably a long shot, but with some marked improvement, and a break or two, I still think it's possible. There aren't many teams in the Big 12 I expect to be swept by.

me too. If this team can gel early they can make it!

Solid article. I agree with Baldwin that, at worst, this is an NIT team and if we win close games we'll be dancing. The roster is fairly solid.
