OU @ KU 11am CST on ESPN

It was Lon's game plan to sink off of Garrett to double Azubuike and Garrett burned them today. It happens. KU is definitely better than OU, not 20 points better, but double digits better. On to the next game.

JB is the anchor weighing us down imo. Just super unfortunate he has not only NOT improved, but has actually regressed. He doesnt do much in his current form. You need all 5 guys. Hope he can figure it out someday and flip the switch

Last couple weeks he's been better but as a whole this year he's been a weakness.

Garrett is a 29% shooter from behind the arc so it's not a bad game plan really. Just got burned by it.

Welp, my prediction was way off. I thought OU would keep it close(r). Another tough one on Tuesday. Let's hope they play better than today.

It was definitely the refs

As i said earlier, letting their big camp in the lane under the bucket for 6, 7, 8 sec created a huge adv. did it cause us to shoot like **** from 3... or miss layups? No.

Creating the ability for ku to shoot a 2 foot shot vs a 22 ft shot is a factor.

Ku is better... figured a loss but refs can create situations that give an adv to one team unintentionally but they do. Give self credit...I do it until they called it. We have no monster post guy.

Actually more obnoxious than OU football fans...

Truth! I was there when Williams left for NC. I was amazed how quickly they turned on him and bad mouthed him as a coach for wanting to return to his alma mater after turning them down once. :eddie187_jpg_xs:

Lol yup... and Brown.

I guess if all ya got is one sport that is worth anything it happens.

Only one of our big two showed up today. Great game by Doolittle but we can’t afford bad games by Manek against good teams.

Asking for us to win 3 consecutive games is a tall order. It's a tall order. Time to reboot.

There is not a single team in the country that can beat KU when they play like they did today, particularly in that building.

Or our guards...

Need something from the guards. All 4 together...Williams, Harmon, JB, Reaves..

* Harmon had a pretty good game Reaves ended up decent except shooting %

It’s nonsense to say you can’t complain about officiating as is being implied by a couple of posters. No one is saying the refs is the only reason we lost. Just because one might complain about the officiating doesn’t mean that is the blame for the performance.

But I’m going with SoonerKC on this one. Azibuike was allowed to camp out in the lane. Had time to make a sandwich. At least 5-8 seconds EVERY time down the floor. That alone changes the complexion of the game. He gets better position to score, he gets more rebounds. And as we saw today, it means we have to drop more people in the lane for a longer period of time to help, which leaves players open outside, or gives openings to drive.

You can’t say that officiating didn’t impact the game. Just like you can’t argue the fact they went 16 minutes without having a fouls called against them. To say those two facts didn’t change the game is just ignorant or naive.

Did that solely cost us the game? No. JB, Harmon and Williams played poorly. Brady was not a factor offensively. We didn’t get to the rim enough. Didn’t shoot the ball great. TOs at bad times. But to deny that officiating impacted he game is denying each one of those costly factors also impacted the game.
