I think OU should be no worse than No. 18, just off the top of my head. A few teams just ahead of us lost during the week, including SMU, UNM and I think Memphis might have been just ahead of us.

Would the voters DARE leave out Kentucky? They got worked by Florida today. Can't say that I minded that. I also will admit to enjoying the Indiana free-fall this season. I know we don't normally even play them, but they're just one of those programs that bugs me. I think it was because they acted like getting a coach from a dreaded "football school" (Kelvin), was beneath them.

Almost everyone butMichigan State and Cinci from 12 and back lost this week. Plus the three teams right behind OU lost. I think OU moves up nicely this week

This team should be ranked in the top 15. It's inexcusable that we're ranked so low. Our resume is better than most of the teams right ahead of us. SMU is getting too much credit for their coaches reputation. Our resume is every bit as good as Iowa st but they're ranked 8-9 spots higher. I do believe the committee will give us a 3-4 seed if we make the final. If we win the tourney, I think we will be a 3 seed.

SMU only has 4 wins in the RPI top 50 and still only those 4 wins in the RPI top 100. Plus they played absolutely no one OOC. They had no business being ranked in the teens. They are likely an 8/9 seed in the NCAA if you look at their overall resume at this point.

Think OU should be as high as possible because what would keep a seeder from having the most recent polls in the back of their heads? This is the last poll that matters because the next thing will be a seed.

Fair to say OU is probably one of the least respected stories of the season nationally. LK getting robbed of COY in his own conference is a joke.

That's OK. Let it simmer.

Imagine Sooners won't jump up as much as we would anticipate - 20, maybe? Just the reality of the voters. They like sexy stories. I like consistent winners.

Our accomplishments have been overlooked all year. If only we had the media of OSU to trumpet our greatness. Instead, we just get ignored.

Hopefully, the team will take it as a slight and make some teams pay. :OUbball-logo:

To our point, Seth Davis just came out with Baylor at 20 and OU at 22. Unreal.

Joe Lunardi earlier had tweeted the SAT (?) rankings of the field 1-68.

4. Kansas
14. Iowa St.
18. Oklahoma
21. Texas
30. Kansas St.
35. Baylor
36. Oklahoma St.

Can someone politely tweet him back and ask why in the world he would have OU there? Thanks

if the guys beat Tech, La Tech and WVU, Kruger probably wins coach of the year. All three games were winnable. If they beat KSU or ISU on the road or KU either time, he definitely wins COY. OU would have been 27-4 and won the Big XII with those 4 wins. The exciting thing is OU returns its core team and should be improved next season.

Thought Seth liked us - gonna need to shut a lot of people up this month.

This is the only thing that matters. Why are people worried about an AP poll in March?

Because it's good for our program -- any program -- to be ranked throughout the season.

Why is this so hard to grasp?

Some, in their rush to present themselves as more evolved, wiser fans, consistently mock those the silly fools who care about the rankings, but the polls matter. They impact the national perception of our team, which, you can be certain, impacts our recruiting.
