Pelphrey fired at Arkansas

They're going to go hard after a couple of Big 12 coaches, but Anderson (and Capel) are probably not really in the discussion at this point.

They want Frank Martin or Mark Turgeon.

Arkansas IS a really good program. Well supported with good facilities and a nice legacy.

IMO Frank should stay but if Turgeon was given the chance I might take it.

Martin's facing the challenge of replacing Pullen after this season. Can he make it at ksu without him? Maybe... but we saw what they were like this season when he wasn't on the floor, and it wasn't pretty.

He could jump to arkansas, probably get paid more, and inherit a great class.

Turgeon's facing different challenges. He's winning consistently but the fans down there just don't seem to care. Fans at Arkansas are nuts. The support alone could drive him to a new job.

I think it's a very appealing job, there is nothing to compete with in-state except for Arkansas football.

Plus the SEC is down right now, too. Pretty easy road for the right coach to get Arkansas into the top 3 in that conference.

You do realize their top 3 choices are mike Anderson, mike Anderson, and mike anderson right? They're gonna put the full court press on him. You're delusional if you think otherwise.

With all that said, no way Anderson leaves Missouri

I don't see Mike Anderson going there because of how they treated Richardson at the end.

I am not disputing you...I am just wondering...who is saying that?

Gottlieb. I don't like the guy but let's be honest, he knows his **** and wouldn't throw around false info like that. They also reported it during the UNC/duke game

Just b/c Nolan thinks he was treated poorly, does not in fact mean that Nolan was treated poorly.

I only ask who says it because the boosters I know have a completely different tune. But they may just be in the minority so I don't doubt anyone else's view.

No he's not.

They're going to discuss him as a possibility, but the people making the decision have their sights set elsewhere.

Anderson is not going to be their top candidate.
