Yeah, and we're also feeling the loss of Georgia Casey. Oh, well, I seem to remember having a few hiccups early in our national championship year. Not going to get overly worried at this point.

We started 17-0 in the national title year. We were 10-5 last year.

Ten bunts beats two home runs. They are finding our weaknesses.

In softball, the 3B and the 1B have to take care of the bunts with the 2B covering 1st. The pitcher is rarely going to field bunts with success with the speed and 60 ft. bases. We have a freshman at 3B and a revolving circus at 2B with Georgia out. Of course, OU moved S. Pendley back to SS from 3B this year.

Honestly, with Georgia out. I might put Shelby at 3b, Vest at SS, and Arnold at 2B.

I think we have so many people moving around that nobody is comfortable at any position.

I'm not sure that Patti knows who is in her lineup just yet. She may like Arnold. But, can Arnold filed and hit third at the D-1 level? She hasn't been gangbusters yet. Is Arnold better than Hatfield? Even Vest made a miscue that didn't help against Zona. Is Wodach really an option?

I think Patti is fairly certain of Self, Pendley, and Miller, although Miller seems to have made some mental lapses in the field. Does that mean Callie? I tend to think the outfield is set. I don't know that the infield is.

At this point, I would look at Shelby as being a starter. But, second and third would be my two best gloves, and I would put them in place. If I need a pinch-hitter because one isn't my best offensive option, I'll do that once a game. But, I think you have to settle the defense in place.

Yes, Georgia being out has thrown Patti for a loop. Callie is actually the best fielding outfielder which is why she was in CF during the NCAAs last year - I like her - she is clutch.

Sooner pitching struggling again after Kelsey goes 5 hitless innings. She gave up homer in 6th and Paige replaced her. Another run has scored and bases loaded with 1 out.

Sooners give up another run but get out of the inning. Now 7-3 in bottom of the 6th.

I thought the same thing last year when she tore her MCL sliding into second against OSU - then she had to limp through the NCAA Playoffs. It is nuts!!!!!!
