The two names that are floating around the most for OSU today are; Steve Lutz (Western KY) and Ben McCollum (NW MO ST).
But I'm not sure anyone truly knows anything. Seems tight-lipped or the AD/donors are just doing a terrible job.
Lutz seems like he would be a good hire. Extensive experience in Texas. However, he's a mid-major up and comer.
As for Mike Anderson, that's still the best hire possible for OSU by a wide margin.
A few stats for you haters.
1.) Mike Anderson has never had a losing season. 21 seasons as a D1 coach without a single losing season.
2.) Anderson won 62% of his games in 8 seasons at Arkansas. Musselman is at 64% in 4 seasons and just had a losing season, which Anderson never had
3.) Mike Anderson won 66% of his games at Missouri and took them to 3 straight NCAA Tournaments. No losing seasons in his 5 years there. Since then, Missouri has had several coaching changes, a ton of misery, and this year finished 8-24 and went 0-18 in SEC play.
4.) Mike Anderson won 68% of his games at UAB and took them to 4 straight NCAA Tournaments. In the 18 seasons since Mike Anderson was at UAB, they've been to a combined 4 NCAA Tournaments
He was a horrible fit at St. Johns, but still never had a losing season and was Big East Coach of the Year. There is absolutely no doubt Anderson would continue winning at Oklahoma State.
I mean, damn, Porter Moser has 8 losing seasons on his resume in 20 years. Anderson has the same length of time coaching and has never had one. Porter Moser is winning 36% of his games in the Big 12.
