'24 Coaching Carousel Thread

Same in that they're both alums. John Blake had never been a head coach. Mark Pope had been a winner at Utah Valley and took BYU to the tournament.

But they're mad because they believed they'd get a top 5 coach and got a top 100 coach. It would have been like OU hiring Seth Littrell while he was at North Texas to be head football coach...decent record, but bluebloods don't hire football coaches from North Texas. Kentucky doesn't hire basketball coaches from BYU...until they did.

It's probably closer...winner is a strong word to associate. Winning in that he has won games? Sure. He has had 3 (4ish) good seasons and WTSooner would absolutely burn this place to the ground if we hired Pope.

Absolutely. I watched the whole "show". It was pretty good. Pope was a bit awkward but I think he'll do a damn good job.
