Capel is 6 years younger than Travis Ford. He has won 400% more NCAA tournament games than Travis Ford. He makes more money. He works at a better institution.

What facts are you looking for Sam? Those are facts. Not opinions. No real OU fan would be drooling over Travis Ford. But again, I'm not a fan of OU. I'm a graduate who used to hoop it up in the Huff with Mizzy. I still play. Played today actually. OSU sucks in basketball. Right now. This season.

I understand your point, along with everyone else's, but you guys should step away for a minute and just look at the recent history of BOB, ABD, and other posters who have made every thread on the board, a personal crusade to beat the I HATE CAPEL drum. Nothing that Boca is doing or has done is any worse than their recent posts.

A message board is a place for differing opinions to come together and discuss common interests. Just because my opinion disagrees with yours, does that mean i should not be able to post?

I don't attack other posters just because they disagree with me. I may attack after being attacked numerous times as with some posters who can't hold a discussion without name calling and personal attacks. However, in most threads I am civil to other posters even the ones who do not agree with me.

Boca has a tendency to attack those who disagree with him. Their is no place for that on a message board. However, a number of other capel supporters also attack those of us who disagree with their opinion on capel. I believe most of these posters are part of the capelables because they take criticisms of capel personally and most of them are fairly young in age.

You mean when I said the Big 10 would take Nebraska 99 times out of 100 and you cited all your TV revenue statistics on why they would invite Missouri?

How did that work out for you?

Truth be told the biggest problem people have with me around here is that I'm usually right.

I'm looking for you to stop constantly calling any OU fan who doesn't agree with your opinions is automaticly not an OU fan. I have nothing wrong with your standpoint or the facts but the manner in which you choose to argue in is becoming worse and worse.


I honestly don't know how to really deal with the constant Capel bashing because in my honest opinion most if it is deserved given recent events. There are a few posters who in some ways are going overboard because they will take any inch they can and turn the blame onto Capel whenever possible. Even as much as my faith in Capel as a head coach is in question it does get old watching ever little thing be turned into his fault in repetitive threads. In some ways it seems like McCarthism in the 1950s as every little thing is blamed on communism (Capel). If some of that continues then a way to deal with will be found.


Also Booger of the big Capel vocal supporters on the board only one is a Capelable that I know of. I think you're letting one bad experience cause you to profile one group

OU can beat Texas 63-14 in football and when a Longhorn says OU sucks they all agree.

Wait, an actual person attempted to suggest the Big 10 would rather have Missouri than Nebraska? The same little Missouri that hasn't won a conference title in football in over 40 years?

As far as OSU's best recruiting class, they have 1 player coming in and he'll be gone after 1 year. The other, Karron Johnson, is a question having been suspended from yet another team. And OSU loses Moses and Pilgrim after this year. They will stay mediocre.

Maybe/hopefully OU can right this ship and start to improve.

...... So, in review I guess that we learned that as Sooner fans, we can only go after our rivals when we are A) really good at said sport, or B) Have a better season going than said rival. HMMMMMMM?? Never knew that. I was under the impression that it was okay to hate os-who/texa$$ at all times. With this newfound knowledge, maybe I will venture over to g0pokes.com, or orangebloods.com and start a thread about how great Coach Stoops is. See how long that lasts......

This is the most accurate post in this thread. Neither team is that good. I think the OSU game is one of the games OU can easily win in Norman. Just like I think Tech is a winnable game. But it's because neither team has that much talent. I think OU's guard play is pretty pathetic this year but I like our guards better than OSU's guards. That doesn't say OU has good guard play. OSU's guards are pretty pathetic.

It will be a very interesting Bedlam game. Not sure how you're 4 guard lineup is going to handle guarding Moses/Pilgrim/Williams on the inside.

About 6 or 7 OSU games. I think OSU's post game is much better than OU's. OSU is better than OU, but again that's not saying a lot. I think OU could easily win in Norman.

He used to be my arch message board rival, but i am seeing he actually knows a thing or two about basketball...

And i love how he is not afraid to post an opinion...
