Oklahoma has offered Corbin Merritt (6’9, F, 2019) of Daytona State. Will have 3 years to play

I assume a back up plan. Lot of offers out there. Casting a wide wide net.

Agreed. It would be interesting to know why he didn’t have better offers? If it was grades, I doubt if he would eligible to transfer with three years to play.

My guess is he was just one of those late bloomers who was overlooked for some reason, maybe because he didn’t get much exposure via playing in the summer league or on an AAU team. He definitely plays like he’s got something to prove now.

Even the non-negative part of me wonders why OU is turning away or moving on from kids so quickly. Not like kids are beating the doors down to come here.

No, just the recruiting part. Kruger can coach, and is a genuinely great guy (met him a couple times). I am just unsure about the recruiting side of it. Once the kids get in the program, Lon will do his best to coach them up. But it is the getting them there part I worry about, given the minimal amount of positive news in the past month.

Here we go again! Rip you? No one has been “ripping you.” Some of us wonder why you’re always so negative. Truth is, I feel sorry for you. I think you’re so starved for attention, you keep hoping someone will actually rip you. People who crave attention anyway they can get it are like that sometimes. Sad, really.

If I thought there was a reason to worry about where OU stands with the recruits on our list, I might join you. Sorry to disappoint you, but I think OU is in a good place with a number of recruits on their list. But, if you want to be miserable in your own little negative world, there is not much I can do to help you.

A few crystal balls of Samuel Williamson to Louisville today. I know he visited there this weekend and is supposed to visit OU next weekend....I hope he still visits!

Sometimes, where there's smoke, there's fire...although we have had several crystal balls on different players to OU..with NO commits, so you never know.

If he doesn't visit...that is a sign.
