Any hoop fans out there that want to see Nino Jackson you have a chance with the Tigers in town to play Matt Christiansen and the Irish.

Trying to decide between this game and Santa Fe at PC. Leaning toward this one since I've already seen Santa Fe vs PC this year.

For people in Tulsa East Central and Booker T are playing at EC

Bet Capel is at Ardmore-McGuiness bird-dogging Nino. That is, of course, unless Perry Ellis has a game tonight.

Betts is here, 21-19 at Ardmore at the half. Nino had a strong 1st, quiet. Christiansen has been ineffective, swarming D is bothering him.

54-50 final, Ardmore wins in OT. Nino with their last 7 points in regulation to force OT, including a 3 with 5 seconds left.

Here is what I noticed.

Great game, back in forth, fun stuff.

Jackson had a strong 1st quarter, then went MIA till the 4th.

Christensen was swarmed all game and had little impact. The Irish's guards carried them, Joe Edmonds (2012) played fairly well.

Trey Cohee had a good second quarter, scored off the bounce, hit some Js.

Bishop lead all the 4th and looked in position to win till Nino took the game over on offense. After missing 4 straight free throws when down 40-39 with a few minutes he scores the next 7 points for Ardmore, including the game tying 3 with 5 second left.

Ardmore hit their free throws in OT after going 45-43 at the start and milked the clock to win.

On Christansen.
Very disappointing game for the big man, Ardmore while small did a great job of swarming and the double teams really affected. he did a good job of passing out of them to the open man but he wasn't assertive enough. When he did make his moves he wouldn't go quick enough, then when he did he took some poor shots. I would be surprised if he had more than 5-8 points the whole night. He hit some clutch free throws toward the end of regulation that gave them a 3 point lead.

Nino
Great great athlete. If he wanted to there was nobody on the court who could touch him with his quickness and hops. His jumper could still use some work and he can fall into love with his fade away at times. He's best in attacking the hop and in transition. His handles are ok but at times it looks like he does wasted dribbles with the "and 1" type stuff.

Gets upset with the refs a little too much for my likings, if he doesn't get the call you can tell it affects him, wish he would just keep on balling.

Unless he progresses over the Summer and next year quite a bit I don't think he will be a big impact as a freshman. He's still intbetween positions as he's point guard size but plays like a shooting guard. Still his long term potential is high as he has few peers when it comes to being a pure athlete.

Thanks Sam. You gonna make a highlight video of Nino?

Plan too sometime this week, might just make one about the whole game. Not sure yet.

Thanks for that report, Sam. Do you think Nino projects as a point in college or more of a combo guard?

That's what I was wondering? Does he shoot it well enough for the sg or does he have the vision for pg. I have to be honest, I like Raney over Jackson all day. Just my opinion. I think Raney has more basketball skills.

Combo, at least for the first two years then a point later on. I just can't see him running a team, lot like Newell in that regard.

That explains all the vype guys I saw.
