From the various boards, it sounds like this is going to be a big recruiting weekend for the basketball team. If I have my dates right, Grant, Morgan, Ellis and Randle might be coming in this weekend. If anyone knows who is coming in for sure, please let us know. I plan on being nice to everyone over 6'5 this weekend in Norman.

Perry Ellis and Julius Randle have both been confirmed according to reports and other sources. I am not 100 percent sure on any other visits but it would not surprise me if there are a multitude of other recruits also visiting the campus this weekend.

Thanks greg.

If Capel ends up having 2 schollies to give, what positions do you think he will try and fill, e.g. 2 bigs, wing and big, or whatever. What do you understand Jeff to be looking for in his 211 class. I would assume that he would take a good big anytime one was willing to come, but otherwise, what do you think he would like to have?

And, if you had to guess today, who do you think he will sign (assuming he has 2 to give and I don't know if he does)?

It is hard to read with this upcoming class given the limited open scholarships. The 2011 class also drops in talent quickly after the initial elite in comparison to recent classes. I believe the 2012 class is stronger overall (local as well in Kansas, Oklahoma, the Dallas Fort-Worth area, etc) and with limited numbers graduating then as well if the right player does not come along for 2010 this current open scholarship could be saved for then.

If OU does end up with two scholarships open and they fill them both I would expect a post player who could come in and contribute right away. Robert Goff out of Hutchinson Junior College is one possibility there. Then I would expect an athletic wing type to compete with Clark and Neal for time at the 3 or perhaps even the 4.

There are a couple elite guys in Quincy Miller and Deuce Bello who list OU for 2011, but they are both long shots from what I have been reading.

I think there is a bigger likelihood given what is known at this time that OU signs none than two.

You also have to remember the majority of the visits that have/will be happening are for recruits in the 2012 or 2013 classes. For this past weekend, Prince Ibeh and Gavin Thurmond are both 2012 (Kyan Anderson is 2011). For this upcoming weekend Perry Ellis and Jelon Hornbeak are both 2012 with Julius Randle being a 2013.

Also one possibility is a loss of scholarship(s) due to Tiny Gallon's contact with the financial adviser causing OU to not have any open scholarships. I have no concrete evidence on that but till the information comes out it is always a possibility.
