Casey Arent will visit Norman, Wednesday. He also informed me that he's very interested in OU.

Any idea who else this kid is considering visiting?

Does anyone know much about his game? I would be happy with just a hardnosed big man that could rebound and stand his ground down low. This kid looks to have size and some offensive skill with his numbers.

I'm curious to see how this works out. If Goff does in fact make it to Norman there won't be a schollie available.

Is Hardrick ship still occupied IM sure between him and goff one of them wont be here next year.

It was reported by a Kansas City writer that OU and Goff have parted ways.

A writer from this site spoke with Goff personally today and Goff says he's still coming. It was reported that one of Kruger's first travel stops was to see Goff. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I don't understand why people are saying it's a done deal he's not coming to OU.

My next question would be has Goff actually signed a LOI? If so are we really going to not honor that commitment? I'm not sure how I would feel about that. If the guy qualifies academically, wants to be at OU, and doesn't have any disciplinary issues we don't know about, then in my opinion we should honor our scholarship offer.

Goff signed last November, no idea on the rest.

Hopefully I break this down correctly. To start the season we had one schollie available, Cade's. Then TJ, Ahmed, and hardricks opened up leaving 4. We signed Goff, Grooms, and M'Baye. If this is correct we have 1 schollie available, but none if Hardrick is still on schollie. If Goff doesn't make it we'll have one again. So if I'm correct here we have no scholarships available right now.

He is not going to qualify.
We won't have to pull his scholarship.

Arent was a late bloomer, got better while he was at JUCO

19 ppg, 12.5 rebs, 1.1 asts, 2.3 blks, 52% FG, 62% FT, 12 three's (37%)

The reporter in this article called Arent the "best player on display" in a San Francisco tournament held in August, 2010. Another article I read said he worked hard to get in shape and add more muscle last season, which in part may explain why he developed into a better player in the last few months.

* Casey Arent, 6-foot-10, Sierra (Del Oro)

The best player on display, Arent is going to have many D-1 suitors to choose from -- his hands are very good, he shoots with either hand inside and possesses range out to the three-point line, he is mobile and runs the floor well, he can block some shots but needs more bulk and strength to stay on balance at both ends of the floor, he is an in-his-area rebounder

I really want this kid. I think he'd be a good fit for what LK is trying to do, and I think he might be a diamond in the rough. Kind of like the big center for Pacific a few years ago that did so well in the Dance. Hamran, or something like that. From reading about him, that is who Arent reminds me of, a bit.
