The Cowboys began the year with a 10-1 record but have lost two of their last three (fell 69-68 at home to Gonzaga and 73-67 at Kansas State before posting a 63-45 home win over TCU on Wednesday). Their other road loss came at Virginia Tech, 81-71, on Dec. 1.

They are allowing opponents to shoot .374 from the field (rank third in league) and .310 from behind the 3-point line (sixth). Junior guard Markel Brown is averaging a team-high 14.5 points per game to go along with averages of 4.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in a team-high 34.3 minutes a game. Freshman guard Marcus Smart has been one of the Big 12's top performers this year, averaging 14.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.3 steals. He ranks eighth in the league in scoring, fifth in assists and first in steals. Over the past three games, Smart is averaging 20.7 points on .677 field goal shooting. Being reported elsewhere that Grooms has a sprained ankle that may affect his play. So not sure how much we'll see of him (probably not the best match up for him anyways) today.

lets hope people showup to the game. I'm kinda worried with this coming so early in the conference and on such a dreery day. God it's ugly outside.. cold and depressing.

Will ESPN move the start to another channel if this Tenn/Bama game isn't finished in time?

7-0 start. Like it. Seems like the crowd is pretty good.

We look like a different team. Great start.

OU playing good D. Smart is very good and is going to get his points.

Couple visitors with jared kruger. Any ideas?

Scoring drought for both teams. Effort is awesome so far.

hafta agree with the announcers ... OU has played awesome defense and looks pretty good overall.
I dont wanna jinx them right before the half though.

Need to shore up the D on Forte. Other than that, playing well.
