OU vs TCU 6:30pm CST on ESPN+

If anyone can watch this team play and argue that players like Kur and Reaves have not developed under this staff, they are either lying or don’t understand basketball. Reaves shot great at WSU for two years and was a solid support player. Now he is a very good overall player who is thriving despite shooting poorly from the outside. He is far better this year than last. And Kur has been consistently good in conference play and who knows what would have happened in Lawrence had he not been in foul trouble.

Meanwhile, we have had a brutally tough schedule to start conference play. Already played road games against two of the best teams in America plus two home games against top 15 teams, while not yet having played any games against the two worst teams in the league. Oh, and we played two of those games without a starter and a key reserve. Got out of that stretch at 3-3. Man ... just think if we had Frank Haith or some anonymous low major coach at the helm.

Four players in double figures:

Harmon.......22
Gibson.........11
Reaves.........11
Williams........10
Kuath...........9
Iwuakor.........8
Harkless........6

Also happy we had the big12now a crew. The guys calling osu KU are let’s just say. Not good.

Self almost never loses close games, so I’m chalking this up as a KU win unfortunately.

McCormick is dominating them.....24 points, 12 boards. Cunningham is trying to guard him in the post for some reason....maybe foul issues? OSU just hit a 3 to tie the game and stop a 21-2 run. Just over a minute left.

Back to the OU game. Great win by the Sooners!!! :OUbball-logo:

OSU wins by 5. It brings me a little comfort that KU won't be winning the league this year. They still have road games @Baylor, @Texas, @WV, and @OU. Not to mention, they also have to play Baylor in Lawrence. There's a lot of basketball left, but this year's KU is missing something.

Best game of the year by far. Good pressure on the 3 point line. Forced a lot of turnovers with help defense. Mostly good work for good shots. Gibson is the only consistently good 3 point shooter we have and he doesn't seem to get open a lot against good teams. So we have to really work for good shots.

For the most part we avoided the big run through poor shot selection. A common OU problem.

TCU made a big mistake when they stopped going inside.

0 fouls on TCU vs 7 against OU midway in second half. Don't remember seeing that disparity in any game I have seen.

Interesting stats from last night’s game:

—OU was a +7 in rebounding (42-35)
—OU was a +13 in assists (20-7)
—OU shot 44.4% (12-27) from three
