Three players might be on way out >>> The Oklahoman

So if Capel is currently "out recruiting", does anyone have any idea where he is?

I believe he spent some time in Cali last week. Not sure beyond that.

I find it hard to believe that Tiny's OU career is going to be completely finished because of $3,000. As has been pointed out by other posters on this board there is a list of current/former collegiate players that had similar incidents prior to college and they simply served a small suspension and then were reinstated.

Does anyone else start to get queasy when you see an OU basketball story posted? I'm already ready to see all the staying, going, and coming in finished so we can discuss whatever roster we might have and put this season behind us.

I have kind of gotten used to it.

Hell, maybe I'll try Pepto :ez-laugh:

After last FB season and this BB season, I think I'm going to be overly nice to the next gypsy I see; this has been like watching a team-scale version of 'Thinner'.

nothing surprises me now. A story could come out saying that OU BBall players caused the Titanic to sink and I wouldnt even flinch.

...but my posts are repetitive and predictable...

I don't think Tiny's career is over because of this money thing nor do I think he is leaving. I could be completely wrong but its just a feeling I've gotten from a couple of conversations I've had with him.

I think you're right Quick. I think Tiny comes back but WW and TMG go.

assuming the allegations are true, and assuming there is nothing more that gets turned up, you'd think that he'd just have to donate 3k to a charity and sit out for a few games. it definitely shouldn't end his career.

remember how we were all high and mighty about renardo sidney? :ez-laugh:

since sidney gets to play again, i would guesstimate tiny would only have to sit no more than 5 games.

Remember guys that Gallons mother was also on the account. It is possible there is a legit explanation. Not probable but possible.

even if its not legit, its an out... Tiny's Mom got a "Loan" from an "Investment Banker". That is not against NCAA rules nor is it illegal. That is what I would be saying if it were me.

I hope this is how it turns out, or something similar. However, with the program still on probation, Castiglione and Boren may force Capel to send Tiny packing just to make sure we avoid any bad press.

Boren is a big fundraiser and if he starts getting flak from potential or current donors (especially big ones) he may nip it in the bud.

Let's hope this doesn't happen...we need the big fella.

No one is going to send Tiny packing if he didn't do anything wrong. That would bring bad press in itself and a lot of ammo to be used against us in recruiting.
