I love Krzyzewski, but I have to wonder why his ex-players are very mediocre coaches?

I'd love it if somebody would ask him that question, but I know it won't happen.

I gather Coach K will be lobbying for Jeff's job? Did he ever call in during the elite 8 season?

My guess is they are bad coaches because they try to run the "Duke System" at their new schools. That wont work because at OU or Mizzou you can't recruit like Duke

Why? I respect what Coach K has done but I personally have no interest in him or his opinion on OU basketball. To me this seems like propaganda and unnecessary.

That's exactly what I first thought. Coach K will glow about what a great coach Capel is (even though Capel never coached under him) and give him the vote of confidence that Castiglione wouldn't

The only comment he made was a comment about how bad his record was after his first few years at Duke. They talked about how every thing in basketball is different from when Coach K. first started coaching.

He said Jeff was allergic to playing defense whenhe arrived at Duke and Coach K had to carry ointment because Jeff would break out in a rash when Coach told him to play defense.

He talked about how everyone on his team is having to learn new roles since their point guard was lost to injury for the year.

Talked about the fact that he was stationed at Ft. Sill for 6 months after he got out of West Point. His daughter's husband was stationed there for 3 years and his daughter stayed there while her hubby was in Afghanistan.

That's about all I remember.
