Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Fairly heavy snow overnight, as everything is white and covered by at least an inch of snow here in south Oklahoma County. It is still coming down.

I hope this does not hurt attendance at the game too much. Questionable road conditions will increase the no-shows.

I would say we got almost 2" down here in Norman. It's covering the grass. Went for a walk and took these pictures near the end of the event about a mile or two NE of the LNC. Might only end up with about 9k today as opposed to the 10k I was expecting. Fortunately the game doesn't tip for another 6 hours, so if the sun can come out between now and then the roads shouldn't be bad at all.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Tip is too long to wait! Heck this break from the KU game seems like forever! Anyways, let's beat these Wildcats! Boomer! :OU-logo::lon:dance005::chestram2::clap:woot

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Zero impact on the roads here in Edmond from the snow. As the day goes any poor road conditions should improve…hopefully there will be a packed house! I'll be headed down shortly to spend the day in Norman! BOOMER!

Ditto. West Edmond roads look great! Should still be a great crowd!:OU-logo::lon

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Yes, the roads down here in the south part of Oklahoma County are fine. Even the residential streets are just wet. The air is not that cold, and the ground temperatures are still warm. Traffic should be no problem at all.

Clear roads, and beautiful white snow covers the grass. Perfect weather for basketball.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Roads in Norman were snowy this morning but are now just wet, so no excuses for people not to show up.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

50 degrees here in balmy Cleveland Ohio! LOL

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Glad to hear roads are clear. The scare will still hurt attendance unfortunately.

I am going to predict 9k for butts in the seats. Bet it would have been over 10k without the snow. Still easily our second best crowd of the year...

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Just a couple of quick tidbits from Kenpom. Obviously, this is your typical Bruce Webber K-State team. They struggle to score, but defend well. For example, they are #346 in 3-pt FG%, but #1 in the country in 3-pt FG % defense. But they don't really take alot of 3s (#251) and get most of their points on 2-pointers. And they get about 25% of their total points from the FT line.

They play slow (tempo is #273) and they are a good offensive rebounding team (top 40 in offensive rebounding %). They don't block many shots and they don't create a ton of turnovers. They simply make you work for your points and that's how they stay in games.

Again, this is your typical K-State team, although not as athletically talented this year.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

I normally would expect us to be a little sluggish coming off that emotional loss and k states slow pace but not with this team

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Has the game been delayed?

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Manyang not playing today (illness).

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

It's on ESPNNews in 15 minutes.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Will some of you guys post score. I am at a conference and will miss the first thirty minutes.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

KSU plays tough half court d ... this is where Woodard's emergence as a scoring threat will help OU over last year. This team can score in so many ways, I'd be surprised if OU doesn't win by double digits.
