All we had to do was pick the ball up and toss it to the ref and they would likely have started the count sooner. But the play that just happened, happens many times and it is NEVER officiated the way you are suggesting.

Yes it is. It may be a judgment call, but refs are trained that they have 3 seconds to be attempting to throw in ball or it’s a delay technical. So a player picking up a ball would qualify as attempting. The throw to the ref in that situation is not attempted to and should gave been a delay.

If we don’t pull off a very unexpected comeback, the reality of another missed tournament is staring us in the face. If we finish the season losing 6 (or 7) of 7 when only two wins were needed, Joe needs to realize we are in Capel territory and make the move the day after we get eliminated in KC.
