I literally laughed out loud at that last Oweh play
Without soares and JM, we don’t pass the eye test.I swear we have some idiotic fans.
Maybe OU doesn't deserve better
What do they require? Would someone that consistently misses layups be a talented player?Do you even know what talent is? These things don't require talent.
Well of course not lol. But they are a part of the teamWithout soares and JM, we don’t pass the eye test.
It does not take talent to make layups, free throws, and be smart with the basketball. It takes practice, hard work, discipline, and accountabilityWhat do they require? Would someone that consistently misses layups be a talented player?
Sorry dude lol. If that is all it took, we would all be on the teamIt does not take talent to make layups, free throws, and be smart with the basketball. It takes practice, hard work, discipline, and accountability
This has been going on since the OSU game. Not sure if they're fatigued or not, but getting a week off till next Thursday may not be the worst thing for the team. The attention to detail on defense hasn't been the same the past couple of weeks as it was earlier in the season.Moore, Darthard, and Oweh have all gotten lost far too often on defense today. I would expect that from some of the more inexperienced guys, but not as much from guys set in the rotation. Our only chance to keep it close was to play great defense today.....and it's been pretty bad most of the day. We had better hope that we were a lock to start the day.
Sorry dude but any of us can make free throws and layups.Sorry dude lol. If that is all it took, we would all be on the team

It's mental. It does not take talent to make layups, free throws, and be smart with the basketball. It takes practice, hard work, discipline, and accountability
Pretty good take here.It's mental.
It's like when an OU football player (or players) miss a bunch of tackles. The problem isn't that they don't know how to tackle. It's that they are trying so hard to read the play or get to the right spot (may or may not be an athleticism issue), that when it comes time to tackle, they just aren't ready to do so.
Basketball is similar. Obviously these guys can make layups. But when they are overthinking. When the team is struggling. When we're behind. When every game is a grind. When (insert any number of other factors here), then again, you can't do the things that should be easy.
Missing layups isn't an issue with not being talented enough to make layups, it's an issue of everything else that is wrong with our program.
When I was the same age as those guys, no, I would not have. My point is that making layups and free throws is not about how talented you are.You would get your sh1t thrown into the stands 99% of the time at this level.
Exactly. If someone is consistently not doing somethign that is easy well, that reflects on their talent. If you suck at the easy things...you suck.Making free throws, layups, and being smart with the ball are the *easy* things.
I do blame coaching when everybody on our team does it. Obviously there is a disconnect.Exactly. If someone is consistently not doing somethign that is easy well, that reflects on their talent. If you suck at the easy things...you suck.
But if you want to blame free throws and layups on coaching then go ahead
