#15 OU @ Cincinnati 12pm CST on ESPN+

Is this 4 straight espn+ games? Kinda ridiculous for the best conference in the country.
well, I'm not sure if it matters...but OU has played past expectations from the pre-season. Not sure how far out games are TV scheduled.

I also agree it's a money thing...paying for +

Should be a tough game. I would feel fortunate to win, which is why not blowing the WVU game was essential. I will be happy to split the next two, with this likely being the harder one.

Considering that would be the lowest total yet for Big12 play, would be nice. I don't see us having less than 10 though.

What stands out to me is JM has been worse than I realized and Oweh has been much better than I realized as far as holding onto the rock. Also, giving away 5.5 net possessions PER GAME in this conference is not a recipe for success. The fact that we’ve done that and are 2-2 is impressive.

The defense has been pretty tough and consistent but the lack of turnovers forced in conference play also seems to be an issue. Before the WVU game we’d been forcing 5.7 TOs a game. That is not good enough.

This is one of the few road games that I feel really good about. I think we have slightly more talent than Cincinnati and I think we will come into this game locked in and ready to play. I am predicting an OU victory for today! Boomer!

Vegas has Cincy -3.5. (opened at -3.5 as well)

80% of the money and 68% of the best on Cincy.

I like majority of the money being on Cincy with no line movement...

I thought we could win 3-4 conference's road games. If we lose this one, and I am not confident, I will definitely need to lower that, although 9-9 is still possible.

Today, I mostly just want to see a steep decline in sloppy ball handling and turnovers. By now, we should realize there are a LOT of contact plays with no call on the road and we especially can’t be loose with the dribble and sloppy pass.

I love Uzan's game....BUT I will say this. His ball handling/dribbling scares me a bit sometimes...I know proof is in what actually happens but man, he dribbles "loose" in my opinion, just kind of dribbles it out there..if that makes sense.

The site I use (Betonline.ag) had Cincy at -4 yesterday evening, but it is back down to 3.5. From what I've watched, the team most similar to Cincy is probably TCU from a player/athlete standpoint. They have height and length for sure, but CIncy doesn't have a player the caliber of Emmanuel Miller on their roster. They play pretty well together and have a couple of guys that can hit 3s fairly consistently. Before the conference season, I thought this would be a winnable game up there, but with the way we've performed on the road, I will be somewhat surprised if we can pull this off.

I'm not sure ANY road game is considered a "win" for us. I agree, winnable...any game is. I would guess at pokes is at least a toss up. I would suspect we'd be dogs in every other road game. Maybe not more than 3-5 points but dogs none the less.

We've got some tough home games as well. 9-9 would be great.

This is not negative about OU just how tough the rest of the B12 is.

Apparently Cincy is a very physical team. Which means that we need to emphasize being strong with the ball even more, and not whine or look to the refs for help. Our bigs especially can’t expect to be able to over-handle the ball. Move the ball quickly with the pass, not one-on-one play.

I will go ahead and set the over/under for posts in this game thread bitching about the officiating at 20.;)

I watched their game against TCU and they are physical. Miller was overconfident late in the game, dribbling in front of Newman like he couldn’t be stopped. Newman took it right away from him and went right to the other end. Huge play. We can’t be doing that.

We've lost our last four meetings with Cincy--by one point on the road in 2012, by 10 pts in OKC in 2011, by 15 pts in Norman in 2000 and by 13 points on the road in 1999.

I'd say we're due.
I still have a grudge against Kenyon Martin. I disliked him through his NBA career, now I dislike his son, who seems to be a decent guy. Collateral damage...:ROFLMAO:

Please keep your eyes on the rim while shooting layups. Their height is seriously bothering us.

Need to get Moore in the mid/high post and work from there. Cincinnati is going to let our guards drive into their bigs all afternoon.

Well...managed to get through the first segment with only 1 TO. It would be nice if we could make a contested layup, otherwise our halfcourt offense continues to be abysmal. We had better get some points in transition if we want to score over 50.
