Whoa how did you get that so fast? Very impressed and I'm very wrong lol

I can’t believe it’s been 8 years since we won 20 games in a regular season. Ouch.
Well to be fair, we had two straight years where the only reason we didn’t get to 20 was because of Covid. The other years are obviously still hugely disappointing, but it would feel a lot different if that streak was only three years rather than eight.

Well, we certainly want to be fair, don't we?

I figured some of the Billy Tubbs teams that scored like 100 points a game would have had some games with a ton of free throws. Especially when they were scoring 120+ in multiple games.

Coach Moser with the winningest regular season in 8 years. You don’t have to like him but those are the facts.

I love how these guys never gave up and kept coming back in spite of injuries and Uzan fouling out. It would have been easy for them to decide it just wasn't their night but they didn't do that. I did see a few discouraged looks when some fouls were called but they regrouped and kept plugging away. Their resolve and resilience were awesome!

In the spirit of being fair,

2019-2020: Played a full season, finished 19-12 in the regular season, 9-9 in the conference. Covid impacted the big 12 tournament, but that wouldn't affect this stat, since we played a full regular season.

2020-2021: Shortened season, had a 26 game schedule compared to the normal 31 game regular season. Finished 14-9 (.56 winning percentage compared to a .645 winning percentage this year). Also lost our last 4 regular season games in typical Lon fashion. Even if we played a full schedule, we likely wouldn't have gotten to 20 wins because, well, we weren't winning at a 20 win pace.

Wow gutty win!!!! Cincinnati is a tough team and even tougher without JM. Hopefully he can be back by tournament time! Cause OU is dancing!

I'm no Eielson, but swelling will be the major factor in whether he can give it a go.
I would agree here. I’ve seen dudes pop a should back into place and go play a football game. But basketball is different. Hopefully it doesn’t mess up his shot or anything like that.

My bad on the 2020 reason, I overlooked the word “regular” in your post so that’s my fault.

In 2021, though, we had lots of early season games canceled, i.e., ones that were likely easy wins. How we played the last four games of the season really doesn’t factor into what would have happened in November and December, as we all know.
