Senior Night OU vs Cincinnati 7pm CST on ESPN+

Didn’t get to see much of the game after the first 10 minutes because of a commitment, but kudos to Soares, Dart, and Moore. Those three seemingly willed them to a win. I don’t even know what to say about our two sophomore guards. As happy as I am to get the win and likely lock up a bid, it’s tough to feel confident about the next couple weeks if we continue getting what we have been getting from them. In baseball lingo, they are both negative WAR players right now. As tough as I am on Moser, I realize you’re coaching with one hand tied behind your back when two guys who were supposed to be leaders and among your best players are this bad. He needs to have a very short leash on them the rest of the way.

and credit to moser he played oweh 9 min vs houston

tonight there wasn't much of a choice of who to play

I honestly think he is. I think Moore and sores are more important. Dart is a tossup.
The offense actually looked better with dart running point than Uzan

People are underrating how good dart has been lately

I am big on Darthard and have been all year he bring toughness and he is a great defender ..

but JM is a difference maker for this team ... and he hasn't missed a FT since Jan

Spot on....especially the parts I bolded.

I just don’t see him as a difference maker. I’d even venture to say he has been a negative for the team in conference play. The only thing he does well is free throws. And he’s only averaging around 4 a game

He’s really not a big 12 starter. He would be great coming off the bench

full conf play +/- very much disagrees with you

i am resting soares and JM on sat ..
TBH Boulder, depending on the extent of both injuries....I would consider sitting both of those guys even in KC if they aren't markedly better. I mean.....say we lose in Austin and also lose in the first round in KC without them.....what would be the difference between a 9 or a 10 seed in the big tournament. Not much.

As a side note, Texas could also be sitting Disu until the big tournament as well.

He’s a plus 6 and behind luke in conference play…

I get it’s not a popular opinion but I’m just not a fan. Plays lazy a lot and is bad at running the offense and is a bad defender and awful shooter

Had to win. Had no choice but to win. And we won. Happy for these guys. That "should" lock up a spot.

In other news, enjoy this little gambling nugget:
Saw Baylor -7 against Texas. Decided to tease it down to the Bears -2.5.
For those unfamiliar with teasing, you get 4.5 points to play with, but you've got to pick two games correctly to collect.
Browsed the games, saw our line at OU -4.5. Teased us down to pick em.
The Baptists come through for me, but you never know with us, so I decide to hedge.
Check the line this morning, Cincy is now a 5.5 point dog. I hedge the Bearcats.
Sooners win by three in OT, and I collect money on all sides.
Were this 2003, I'd be at Suger's until dawn.

This post wins the thread.

Lol

OU's players not only deserved the win, but they also deserved a better crowd. But the people who were there made it pretty electric. That includes us old farts who were able to go due to being retired. But I'd have driven up for this game two years ago, when I was still employed.
